LiveCycle on WebSphere with Oracle – Avoid Hyphens in Tablespace and User Names

The presence of hyphens in the names of tablespaces or users in Oracle will cause exceptions in WebSphere when it is being configured for LiveCycle ES. The SystemOut.log will not report this but the WebSphere FFDC (First Failure Data Capture) folder will contain entries like as follows:

Exception = java.sql.SQLException
Source = com.ibm.ws.rsadapter.jdbc.WSJdbcStatement.pmiExecuteUpdate
Stack Dump = java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00922: missing or invalid option
at oracle.jdbc.driver.DatabaseError.throwSqlException(DatabaseError.java:112)
