DON’T TOUCH THAT PACKAGE!!!! RE: LUTs

“You placed LUTs in the Premiere Pro Package??”

There’s a lot of BAD information floating around the Premiere-o-Verse about how to add LUTs to the Premiere Pro Lumetri drop-down menus. If you use certain LUTs frequently, and want to add the LUTs to Premiere, there is an approved method of doing it, but it does NOT involve the phrase “show package contents.” These methods use an unapproved “hack” that could cause the wrong LUTs to show up in other projects.

Here is the approved method of adding LUTs to the Lumetri menus:

Depending on if you use Windows or Mac, you’ll need to browse to one of the listed locations below. You’ll need to create the folder called “LUTs” and the subfolders called “Creative” and Technical”. Drop your LUT files in either of these locations.

The LUTs in the Technical folder will appear in the Basic Correction section of the Lumetri panel, under Input LUTs. They’ll also appear in the Output LUTs section when exporting files.

The LUTs in the Creative folder will appear in the Creative section of the Lumetri Panel, under Looks.

If you want all the users of your computer to see the LUTs, put them here:

Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs

/Creative

/Technical

Win: \Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs

\Creative

\Technical

If you want to add LUTs to Lumetri that only your user account can access, put them here:

Mac: ~(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs

/Creative

/Technical

Win: ~(username)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs

\Technical

\Creative
