Stay Tuned…

Wow. Lots going on. Don’t even know where to begin! New blogging server and interface for me to get used to. Lots of travel – Asia and India for starters. Plus, I’m gearing up for a new set of videos.

I’m gonna stretch out a couple of posts over the next few days, so stay tuned for some fun stuff coming your way!

Layer Tennis comes to a close….

What is Layer Tennis? Imagine a competition between designers, where 2 design teams square off against each other, each taking turns with the same file. One side makes changes, and “serves” it over to the other side, who makes changes, and then “volleys” it back to the original team. Each side gets to continue the story in a new way. Repeat this process 10 times, and see where it takes you.

The Motion Graphics part of Layer Tennis just finished on Friday – you can check out the results here: http://layertennis.com/090306/index.php Start with the intro page, and click through the numbers in the upper right to see each of the rounds. Congrats to both DK Chicago and Werk Stockholm for an awesome competition!

Headed to see Watchmen today at the local IMAX, and off to Moscow tomorrow for a week-long adventure, meeting customers, teaching classes, and showing off Adobe Production Premium to everyone who will listen! :) Do Svydanya!

Still Looking for AdobeTV Feedback…

At the end of January, I asked for your feedback on the AdobeTV show that Jason Levine and I co-host, Short & Suite. Thanks for your feedback so far – I’m working on some interesting ideas for episodes. I’d still love to hear more ideas, so feel free to comment.

Now, Rufus Deuchler, my friend and Design Evangelist on our team, has announced the name of his new AdobeTV show, and he too is looking for feedback on what to cover. If you have design topics you’d like to see covered, check out Rufus’s blog, and give him some feedback.

What would YOU like to see on AdobeTV?

As you probably know, Jason Levine and I have been involved with a show on AdobeTV called Short & Suite, where we debut a new music video from Johnny Encore & the Acrobats, then Jason breaks down how the audio came together, and I discuss elements of creating the music video.
Pretty soon, Jason & I will be heading back into the studio to record some new episodes, and since Mr. Encore and his band have fled the country to study existential sitar meditation techniques, we’ll be doing the next series of episodes without the help of new music videos.
So, I pose this question to you, Dear Reader: What would you like to see in a new, revamped, Short & Suite series? More AE tutorial content? More audio tips & tricks? Dancing girls? I want to hear your suggestions! Please post a comment below. While not all comments will appear, I do take the time to read them all. Thanks!

Thanks Rufus!

Here’s a big SHOUT OUT to Rufus Deuchler for his amazing design skills. He just completed a redesign on my blog, and, well, what can I say? It looks FANTASTIC. Thanks so much, Rufus!

I hope this sweeps all the gremlins clean of this place, so I can get down to business! I’m spending most of today getting a bunch of posts ready to publish, and you’ll be seeing those over the next days and weeks. Lots of exciting stuff going on.
