NEW! Presentations on Acrobat.com Labs

Posted by Fang Chang at 10:08 PM

Today we announced Acrobat.com Presentations, a new beta service on http://labs.acrobat.com. Imagine the beauty, power and collaboration of Buzzword, only for presentations. I think Anthony Ha at Venture Beat said it pretty well in the first blog posting we saw in the wild, “...there’s a solid core for Adobe to build around…genuinely beautiful…the key feature of Acrobat.com is the collaboration it allows…”

But of course, the best thing to do is go check it out at http://labs.acrobat.com. We’re expecting a lot of interest, so if we’re busy, please check back. Or you can follow us on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/acrobatdotcom for updates throughout this launch and afterwards.

I just started working on a presention with the new presentation feature in Acrobat.com. I love it. Perhaps I am pushing it a bit but I have been getting an error message. I have created a shape with with text. (Stop sign with text Don't Stop). I am trying to copy which is successful but I get an (error 1099) when I try to move the shape. Has anyone tried that?

Acrobat.com response: Thanks - our quality assurance team is taking a look now...

In case anyone may find this entry, and might be looking for a forum about Presentations, it's at http://forums.adobe.com/community/labs/presentations/. I didn't find it listed in the Help menu, nor on the acrobat.com site list of forums. Even if the latter is because it's still in "labs" status, I was surprised the link's not offered from the Help menu. How else might people find it?
