Customer Spotlight: Movares engineers use Adobe Acrobat to streamline and accelerate collaboration

Peter Dubbelman, consultant in information and communication technologies (ICT) at Movares B.V., recently talked to us about how the engineering consultancy firm is using Adobe Acrobat and dynamic PDF capabilities.

With Adobe Acrobat, the company is streamlining and accelerating collaboration across project teams with reliable, more secure documents in PDF. Millions of technical drawings and specification documents created by Movares teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland must be shared, reviewed, and revised on an ongoing basis. By implementing Adobe Acrobat, Movares is able to maintain the visual fidelity of key technical drawings and specification documents. Adobe Acrobat allows large, dispersed Movares teams to share and comment on documents.

Adobe Acrobat also protects sensitive materials from unauthorized access or tampering using digital signatures, encryption, and password protection. Permissions settings limit who can print, copy, or change documents. Movares preserves documents electronically by adopting the reliable, proven PDF/A standard for document archiving. The company appreciates the ease of packaging and deploying Acrobat X throughout the firm.
