Send More Files to the Cloud Now

Audio, Video Adds to SendNow Capabilities

When we announced Adobe SendNow – our cloud-based, file transfer service that provides a one-stop destination for sending and receiving large files with anyone, anywhere – we talked about how the need to be able to exchange documents easily is more and more critical to both business and personal success. We said we should be able to get access to and retrieve and view files reliably no matter where we are and no matter what device we are using at the time. And that this is where the cloud delivers real value.

Today, we’re excited to announce three new features for SendNow that will add a different dimension to your business, take your business to the next level and help solve real business and collaboration problems now.

Send audio and video files. Still emailing big files? Now you can upload and send all popular audio and video files. This is ideal for anyone relying on less convenient methods to send big media attachments – especially creative professionals, designers, architects and engineers. Audio-video file transfer is available now.

Personalize your SendNow notifications. You can raise your profile with your customers and colleagues by adding your company logo to SendNow notifications. Small and medium businesses can include their company logo to project a more professional, “larger-than-life” corporate image. Personalization will be available in June.

Access SendNow from your desktop. We’ve made SendNow so easy to use that you don’t have to open a browser. This is a huge time saver. A small application of SendNow can reside on your desktop and you can access most capabilities simply by clicking on the app’s icon. No need to open a browser, type in a URL and wait for a download. You can get the desktop app in Q3.

The new features are just three reasons for using SendNow. Here are some others:

  • Help reduce costs: Send as many files as you want
  • Send files faster: Instant delivery
  • Share files easily: Avoid email size limits and complicated FTP sites
  • Verify receipt and guaranteed delivery: Confirm that your files were received

There’s a range of service options available: from SendNow Free, to SendNow Basic at US$9.99 per month and SendNow Plus at US$19.99 per month. If you haven’t tried SendNow, you can do so just by going to https://sendnow.adobe.com. Give it a try and see how easy it is to use and how much you can gain by using it!

Export License

Introducing Adobe Export PDF from the Acrobat Solutions Team

If you’re like me, you have a ton of useful and valuable information saved as PDFs on your laptop. And, if you’re like me, you get a little frustrated when you have to go back and edit those documents. The process is time-consuming, involves retyping your content with all the potential errors that brings, and often the results aren’t what you expected.

Not any longer. Today we announced Adobe ExportPDF, an easy-to-use, subscription-based, online PDF-to-Word converter that lets you reuse your Word content, which means you reduce errors, improve productivity and finish your projects faster than before. While Acrobat X has this functionality, it’s a great way for non-Acrobat PDF users to test drive one of our most popular features.

All you need to do is upload your PDF file to our online service via your Web browser. We turn it into a Word document that you then download and edit with ease.

Adobe ExportPDF converts PDF files to native Word 2010 or 2007 DOCX format and can convert the vast majority of PDF files around today, including those containing scanned documents. The only files that it won’t convert are PDF Portfolios, password-protected PDFs, or PDFs with permissions applied to prevent printing, copying or altering content.  It will support the conversion of PDF files up to 100MB in size.

By the way, once you’ve edited your Word document, you can use Adobe CreatePDF to reconvert it to a PDF file that anyone can read using Adobe Reader. Learn more about CreatePDF here.

I expect ExportPDF will make my life easier. How about you? This new online service offering is a way for new users to experience the value of one of Acrobat’s most popular features at a low cost. Annual ExportPDF subscriptions are just US$19.99 for unlimited conversions. So tell your non-Acrobat friends to check out Adobe ExportPDF today.
