The highly-anticipated BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will ship with Adobe Reader X for high-quality and fast viewing of rich content through the ubiquitous PDF.
PlayBook users will have access to advanced features in Adobe Reader including Touch-based gestures for efficient navigation and zoom in the PDF, Page Navigator interface for fast navigation within large files, accelerometer support and File manager for quick access to PDF files on the PlayBook tablet.

Current Reader X for Playbook seems far from really usable. PDF file in portrait mode is not readable, which definitely not fit for a tablet. Functionality quite limit as well.
As a PDF reader, it not necessary to support picture, video, music.
When could we have an update? Is it possible more functions such as highlight?
Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback, we’ve shared your suggestions with the product team. Stay tuned for future updates.
it doesnt work on my playbook rather disappointing
Please provide us with more details on the Reader user forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums/playbook) so that we can help identify the problem.
I bought the blackberry playbook for work and we use a lot of pdf files for reading. The version of pdf reader installed in the device makes reading pdf hard and not friendly at all specially with large pdfs where i have to search page by page for chapters instead of having a bookmark or a search function like in other tablets.
I’m really disappointed and i’m hoping that adobe releases an update with the functionalities listed above that are basic ones!
Thanks for your suggestion. You can contribute feature suggestions via our feature request form here: http://adobe.ly/WishForm
It’s very hard to read books without search/bookmarks/thumbnails …. Please get them ASAP
Thanks Sangram. We’ll pass this suggestion on to our product team, and in the meanwhile, please take a look at our Acrobat Wishlist page, available here: http://adobe.ly/WishForm
It would be really nice to add some basic functionality to this app on the PlayBook. Key features such as fill in forms, go-to page, bookmarking and search. I’m not asking for anything new here. Please Please PLEASE add these key features. I talked my company into paying for and using Acrobat X Pro but have to use qPDF to do these things!?
If you really wanted to impress people you could add the ability to digitally sign forms too!!! Now that would blow people away and again nothing new that your free PC version doesn’t do.
Thanks for reaching out to us. We appreciate hearing these feature requests for changes to Adobe Reader for Blackberry Playbook.
