I see that InDesign file format is supported. But how can you create a PDF on iOS when the fonts & links on an InDesign file is not available?

We receive a lot of documents in PDF form and need the ability to add and remove pages on the pdf. Is there a way to do this on Android? I also use a acrobat X pro a lot while doing my reading. It allows me to highlight, and add comments to what I am reading for quick review in the future. Is there an app that will allow me to do the same thing for Android 4.0+?

    • By Adobe - 8:30 AM on January 31, 2012   Reply

Thanks for asking Jerry. Glad to hear that you’re using Acrobat X Pro! At this time the only Acrobat-related product available for Android is Adobe Reader, which doesn’t have the ability to edit PDF documents. Unfortunately you cannot highlight or add comments to a PDF with Adobe Reader for Android, though we’re hoping to add more features, including commenting at some point in the future.

When I open a pdf page in my iPhone 4s, the reader does not display any of the comments or highlights. Any advise is appreciated. I am using Adobe Reader that came with iPhone.

Thanks, Adobe for quick reply. I am still struggling to fix this problem even after your suggestion. Is there a version of Acrobat Pro X that can be installed on new iPad? Thanks again.

I use Microsoft office in windows. I have iPad and an app which can read and edit word, excel files on the iPad. Can I use create PDF app for my files created in windows pc. Of course this means I have to transfer the files between the two operating systems

Absolutely SanJog, there is a version of Adobe Reader you can download to your iPad allowing you to view the PDF files created from Adobe CreatePDF (https://createpdf.acrobat.com/app.html). And, of course, these PDF files can be viewed on any computer – windows or mac. Please let us know if you have any follow up questions.

I want to convert multiple images to create one PDF file. The images are stored on my iPhone in my pictures folder. How do I accomplish this? There is no option to start a new PDF in this app.

    • By ___________________________________________ - 6:24 PM on August 6, 2012   Reply

Hi Chloe. Unfortunately the CreatePDF for iOS app doesn’t support the creation of PDFs from multiple images at this time. Feel free to respond to the engineering team with this feature request on this forum thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/897679 Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • By Mark - 8:34 AM on January 28, 2013   Reply

I have problems opening .pdfs created in windows on my Ipad 2. The ones created from .docs or .docx open fine, but the ones created from excel or other spreadsheet applications don’t open or if they do, they open with a blank screen and I usually need to restrart the ipad to clear the buffer. Any suggestions or recommendations on how to resolve this problem? Thank you.

    • By Acrobat - 5:26 PM on January 29, 2013   Reply

Hi Mark. Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Can you confirm that you were opening your PDFs within Adobe Reader and not the native PDF viewer (Preview) built into iOS? Could you also share a sample file with us here.
