eSignatures Everywhere
Acrobat
Today, we announced a significant milestone, bringing free eSignature capabilities to Adobe Reader. Now, you can sign, send and manage your important documents from anywhere, from a desktop or an iOS or Android device.
With today’s release, the days of printing, signing and faxing back documents are truly numbered. We’ve tightened the integration between Adobe Reader and Adobe EchoSign eSignature service, so you and your customers can gain real-time visibility into the signature process and status of contracts – giving you greater assurance and control over the management of all signed documents. We’ve also streamlined the desktop experience and added features that give you more choice and greater functionality.
Thanks to Adobe Reader for mobile, you can electronically sign a document by simply drawing your signature with your finger on a touchscreen, making it easy to conduct business while on the go. Additionally, you can connect to Adobe EchoSign to get others to sign documents electronically, letting you track and manage the status of documents online. And, because the signed contracts are archived in the cloud, you can easily retrieve documents from anywhere, at any time, via a web browser.
We didn’t stop there, though. Adobe Reader for mobile also adds new capabilities that let you interact with PDF documents directly from your iOS or Android devices, including annotation, comment and forms fill. And, of course, the highly intuitive user interface provides an efficient PDF viewing experience regardless of the device.
With Adobe Reader and EchoSign, we’re making it easy for anyone to send important contracts to customers so that they can quickly and easily sign and send them electronically – and get the deal done faster. Give Adobe Reader with EchoSign a test drive on your next deal.

how do I convert adobe messages to my email to forward?
Thanks for asking. You can attach PDF files to your email messages just like any other file type. Additionally, you may want to consider the Tools > Send > Attach to Email option from within Reader.
Pls help me i cant read the attachments on my e-mails.
Hi Martina, sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Are you unable to open attachments? Can you please tell us what version of Acrobat you’re using, and make sure your files are saved before attempting to open them.
Looking at this page on my laptop, there is an icon to download the droid app clearly available. Even though I do not need it for my laptop… So here I am on the same page on my droid – and the downloa icon is nowhere to be found. Perhaps it should have been placed to the left side if the page??
Thanks for mentioning Kathihr, we’ll flag this to our team. In the meantime, you can download Reader for Droid via this link: http://bit.ly/HyXDdQ.
Can I have a pdf reader in my mobile please
Hi Abidin, do you mind letting us know which platform you’re using? We can provide you a link.
I read that PDF was created to prevent copying, and that the creator of a PDF document is automatically the copyright owner. If this true? If so, how come there Print, Write, Save, Send As, etc. to PDF? Should we steer clear of saving webpages in PDF format?
Thanks for asking, Renee. PDF is an information sharing tool, and we encourage all printing, writing, saving and sending. Fire away with saving webpages as PDFs!

All that is missing is the ability to bookmark pages. Otherwise, great.

Does the android version have a way of adding text to a non-active-form pdf?
Other than drawing it, I can’t see a way of doing it..
Hi Gavin, thanks for reaching out. Unforunately, Adobe Reader, whether on Android or on a desktop system, does not have the ability to add content to a PDF file outside of form fields created in Adobe Acrobat. We’ll be sure to follow up if there is an update here.

I download PDF into my Android galaxy 10.1. Works great but I can’t “Save-As” so I can leave my original PDF file un-edited.
Can you tell me if this is possible? or what other option I have?
Unfortunately there is no Save As function within Reader for Android. You could download the file more than once on your tablet and only update one of the files. You could then use one of the many Android file management apps to rename your updated one after you’ve made your changes. This is a great feature request though! We’ll be sure to pass it along to the product team.
We create fill-able save-able pdf forms that have built in formulas (made in LiveCycle Designer) for our reps to use in the field. They would love to be able to use these on their iPads instead of having to bring their laptops. Will this be a possibility any time soon?
Hi Erin,
While this isn’t a feature just yet, please submit it to our wishlist here and we’ll let the product team know: http://adobe.ly/Zkg1Q.

I too cannot figure out how to bookmark a page so that I can return to it later. All ereaders have the ability for the user to create their own bookmarks. I realize that their are built-in bookmarks, sort of, but I need to create my own and have them listed in the list of bookmarks. Please help!
