Adobe eSign Success Series: Web Contracting Improves Productivity Company Wide

Like any other industry, the telecommunications industry requires collaboration between several different departments, which naturally results in lots of paperwork.

From the human resources department to business development, paperwork is constantly being filed and tracked. However, it is often difficult to manage so many documents, hindering productivity and causing confusion when the necessary document cannot be found.

Since time is money, companies in the telecom industry cannot afford to spend extra time looking for lost paperwork. An eSignature solution enables departments to complete contracts faster and allows for automatic filing, eliminating the need to track lost documents.

Advantix Solutions – an organization that specializes in optimizing, negotiating and managing complex telecom programs for companies in multiple industries, which results in stacks of paperwork – is a great example. Before Advantix Solutions adopted an eSignature solution, various departments struggled with storing, tracking and securing sensitive documents. After experiencing the drawbacks associated with paper agreements, the team decided to switch to an eSignature solution and determined that Adobe EchoSign was the best fit.

The solution was easily integrated with other Advantix platforms, making it span effortlessly across all departments. The business development team uses Adobe EchoSign during contracting with clients and partners, as it provides verifiable time stamps on non-disclosure agreements. The human resources department uses the eSignature solution slightly differently, relying on Adobe EchoSign to file and store job offer letters and documents involved in the employee review process.

Simple to use, Adobe EchoSign didn’t require advanced training for employees.  Departments were quickly able to use the eSignature solution to its fullest extent. After the switch, Advantix Solutions noticed a significantly shorter contracting process and documents no longer went missing.  It was much easier to provide analysis and management services to customers once all of the necessary documents were stored in one place. Implementing an eSignature solution saves time and helps more companies in the telecom industry provide the best possible service.

How has adopting eSignatures helped your business? We’d love to hear from you.

eSignatures Everywhere

Today, we announced a significant milestone, bringing free eSignature capabilities to Adobe Reader. Now, you can sign, send and manage your important documents from anywhere, from a desktop or an iOS or Android device.

With today’s release, the days of printing, signing and faxing back documents are truly numbered. We’ve tightened the integration between Adobe Reader and Adobe EchoSign eSignature service, so you and your customers can gain real-time visibility into the signature process and status of contracts – giving you greater assurance and control over the management of all signed documents. We’ve also streamlined the desktop experience and added features that give you more choice and greater functionality.

Thanks to Adobe Reader for mobile, you can electronically sign a document by simply drawing your signature with your finger on a touchscreen, making it easy to conduct business while on the go.  Additionally, you can connect to Adobe EchoSign to get others to sign documents electronically, letting you track and manage the status of documents online. And, because the signed contracts are archived in the cloud, you can easily retrieve documents from anywhere, at any time, via a web browser.

We didn’t stop there, though. Adobe Reader for mobile also adds new capabilities that let you interact with PDF documents directly from your iOS or Android devices, including annotation, comment and forms fill. And, of course, the highly intuitive user interface provides an efficient PDF viewing experience regardless of the device.

With Adobe Reader and EchoSign, we’re making it easy for anyone to send important contracts to customers so that they can quickly and easily sign and send them electronically – and get the deal done faster. Give Adobe Reader with EchoSign a test drive on your next deal.

Adobe EchoSign: Now Available in a Box

There’s no question that eSignatures are changing how we do business today. That’s why we want to make our EchoSign eSignature service as ubiquitous, as, well, Adobe Reader. We expect it will make electronic signatures the common way for people to sign documents whether from their desktops or their mobile devices. So that’s why we are becoming a premier partner with Box for its OneCloud mobile enterprise platform, which aims to unify business information across devices, applications and operating systems. EchoSign provides the all-important secure eSignature component of a complete business workflow.

What sets our EchoSign signature service apart is that there’s nothing to download and install, and with just one click, the entire signature process from the request for signature to the distribution and execution of the form or agreement is done. You can access the service from Reader on your desktop or through Reader on an iOS or Android device.  What could be simpler?

When we announced the acquisition of EchoSign in July 2011, we said it was just the first step to bringing more and more powerful and productive document services to customers. Box OneCloud is another.  There’s more to come, so stay tuned.

Adobe and Dell: Making it Easier for Businesses to Accelerate Sales with eSignatures

Adobe EchoSign is focused on helping small and medium-size businesses accelerate sales processes through the use of e-signatures – a technology that enables them to grow and thrive. That is why we’re pleased that Dell will add EchoSign to its Dell Cloud Business Applications (DCBA) portfolio, an addition that will expand its Dell’s Cloud Integrated CRM offering for growing companies. The new solution with EchoSign helps businesses increase productivity and gives them the ability to streamline critical processes involved in sales transactions.

Using EchoSign, organizations can now send contracts directly from their CRM system, view and track contract history across departments, and save signed contracts with specific opportunity or contact details. And because EchoSign is a Web-based service just like Dell Cloud Integrated CRM, businesses don’t have to worry about hardware or software to purchase or maintain.

Here’s what Paulette Altmaier, vice president and general manager Dell Cloud Business Software had to say about the addition of EchoSign and AppExtremes’ Conga Composer: “EchoSign eSignature and AppExtremes eDocument solutions are beneficial cloud tools that helps growing businesses increase sales agility and drive revenue. By adding these solutions to the Dell Cloud Business Applications family of trusted applications, small and medium businesses can maximize sales with efficient processes and greater visibility into their account stream.”

Through our agreement with Dell Cloud Business Applications, we’re ensuring that SMBs get greater visibility into their customer contracts, improve productivity and efficiency, and deliver a positive experience for their customers. For more details, visit the official press release here.

Adobe eSign Success Series: Highlights From Our Web Contracts 2012 Conference

By Jason Lemkin

We recently held our Web Contracts 2012 user conference, where more than 150 people gathered to learn about the success our customers have experienced using Adobe EchoSign. Customers like Meltwater, Groupon, United Healthcare and Marketo joined together to share how Web contracting is transforming business.

Meltwater

After experiencing problems with email confirmations, Meltwater needed a contract process in which there were no questions of validity. Finalizing agreements via email presented sticky situations in which the parties involved were not on the same page. Since Meltwater switched to Adobe EchoSign, there are no misunderstandings and customer relationships remain positive.

Groupon

Groupon needed a system that could keep track of all of its contracts during the company’s explosive growth. Instead of archiving contracts to an email account, the company uses Adobe EchoSign to automate data collection and track progress of agreements. If a document remains unviewed or unsigned, Adobe EchoSign sends automatic reminder emails, freeing the sales staff from multiple follow-up processes.

UnitedHealthcare

UnitedHealthcare wanted a contract process that could work at the same rapid rate of its automated claims process. Using Adobe EchoSign has reduced contract completion time from more than five weeks to than two days, making resources available to its subscribers much sooner. Furthermore, agreements are kept in a completely secure environment, requiring a password known only to the parties involved.

Marketo

Marketo, a return customer, came back to Adobe EchoSign after experiencing the shortcomings of another platform. With Adobe EchoSign, Marketo experienced a simple installation process and a 45 percent increased signature rate. The competitor’s tool created a 40 percent decrease and its installation caused arguments among the IT team.

From reducing contract completion time to improving customer relationships, these companies have experienced the many benefits of Web contracting. Adobe EchoSign eliminates the hassle associated with paper contracting, allowing customers to focus on running successful businesses.
