You'll learn how to:

  • Create PDF forms from existing Microsoft Word and paper documents
  • Ensure clean data by adding validation, formatting and required fields
  • Add calculations to forms
  • Enable form-fill for free Adobe Reader users
  • Collect data from form recipients
  • Add fields that auto-adjust to to data
  • Enhance forms with pictures, color, borders and more

Examples of forms shown will be Client Intake Forms, Estate Planning forms, etc.

We'll show how to create forms in Acrobat Professional and also using Adobe LiveCycle Designer. Did you know that LiveCycle Designer is included with Acrobat Professional?

Mark and I will be going through a data collection workflow. Using Acrobat, you can send a form to a free Adobe Reader user and have the form data automatically routed back to you. Cool!

We are also going to show a few advanced techniques with LiveCycle Designer to create forms that add or delete lines and adjust to content.

During the presentation, we'll share some "gotchas" to avoid and include some forms resources for those who want to dig further.

This will be our first time presenting this event, so were not sure exactly how long we'll go. We're targeting an hour, but we might run a bit long, so hang in there.

Naturally, we will be presenting using Adobe Acrobat Connect, so you shouldn't have to download anything to join the event.
