Digital Media in the Public Sector for 2013
Hi folks! Jerry Silverman here…
Last year, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) outlined its Digital Government Strategy to build a 21st century platform to better serve the American people while saving agencies time and money. Adobe’s response to this Strategy outlines how our history, technical expertise and vision have been mission critical in assisting agencies in their efforts to implement such strategies.
The Adobe Public Sector team’s technical expertise and vision continues to flourish in 2013, and we’re thrilled to welcome two new team members to our ranks: Lisa Niday and Lisa Watkins! They will be regular contributors to this blog on subjects relevant to Digital Media in the Government space. Below is a brief introduction to our Digital Media team:
Lisa Niday has been involved in the publishing industry for the past 30 years, holding positions in sales, art direction, sales management, and publishing in the newspaper, magazine, and design industries. She has been a consultant, trainer, and instructor in desktop publishing, prepress, and design at corporations, resellers, and colleges. For the past 13 years Lisa has excelled here at Adobe Systems in diverse positions, including application engineer (solutions consultant), technical resources manager and business development manager. Prior to joining Adobe, Lisa owned and operated a design firm for 12 years. She is an Adobe certified expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. She currently works with public sector customers, where she happily helps them realize how Adobe software will help their agencies be more productive.
Lisa Watkins joins Adobe after working as a government contractor for several agencies and their partners for over a decade – but she’s also an art school alumni with a background in the music and entertainment industries, as well as in high-tech. Her diverse background includes training/elearning, management, marketing, business development, video production, writing, editing, design (print/Web), Web development, sales, promotions/events, and presentations. In the government space, she’s worked on projects ranging from law enforcement to mental health resources and forensic toxicology. If she hasn’t done it, she probably knows someone who does!
