Taking a Break

Adobe employees prepared for sunny beaches, nature hikes, chilly water, rock climbing and more on their vacation time.  Here’s how a few spent or planned to spend their vacations: I spent the Adobe break battling the sizzling Hawaiian heat while running my first ½ marathon in Kona on the Big Island. This was the culmination of a 3-month training and fundraising program I did with Team Challenge, a nonprofit that raises funds and awareness aimed at improving drugs and ultimately finding a cure for Crohn’s & Colitis diseases. I raised $5,800 and … Read more >

Writing the Future at Adobe

Each day, we write the futures of our own careers.  But as we do, it’s important to keep growth potential in mind, which is a critical consideration when calculating the right employment fit. Here are three important questions Adobe focuses on to define career growth, as well as questions you need to ask yourself to determine if an organization is growth-ready: How receptive is the organization to new ideas and creativity? Why it matters: Curiosity needs to be an organizational mantra. You can’t move fast, decide fast or learn fast … Read more >

Showing Dad Some Love

In honor of Father’s Day, our employees share favorite memories, best advice, and give shout-outs to their dads. Here’s what they say: “Cheers to the two headed monster shirt trick mum loved. Cheers to weekends of James Bond movie marathons and teaching me how to ski down a double black diamond. Cheers to all the ballet recitals and competitions you sat through for 18 years, and all the times you helped out back stage. Cheers to cheering louder than all the other dads when I walked across the stage graduating from … Read more >

Community Action Month: A Success!

Over 1,100 employees all over the globe donated their time and resources to various nonprofits during Adobe’s Community Action Month in April and May, making a big impact in the communities in which we live and work. Employees volunteered over 4,400 hours for more than 100 projects. This was an incredible level of involvement, especially during April’s Creative Cloud and CS6 launch. Adobe volunteers gave … Read more >

Getting to Know Adobe’s University Talent Team…

A little bit about me … I joined Adobe about five years ago as a new grad from San Jose State University. My first job here was, in my opinion, the best first HR job one could have in corporate HR. It was as a member of the HRIC (HR Information Center), where I got a serious crash course in all things HR related. After an amazing year on the HRIC team, I moved over to the University Talent Team; I had always had a big interest in being a part … Read more >

Walking the Talk

Around the world, distance running events symbolize communy spirit and serve as wonderful opportunities for us to do our bit for a social cause. At last year’s Bangalore Run, around 60 non-profit organizations collectively raised an amount of INR 1.9 crores for their varied causes.  This year, Bangalore participants put their best feet forward once again and showed that they care! Everyone has a different motivation for participating – while I suffer from being out of shape with poor energy levels, I was super excited to participate with a personal goal … Read more >

Picking the Brain of a Product Evangelist

After speaking to a group of 500 people in Santiago, Chile, catching a red eye back to Detroit and running a few errands, all in a 24-hour time span, Terry W. grabs some dinner.  Take- out, that is. “It’s very busy,” he says of his daily life.  “I’m either on the road or I’m creating content.” Terry W., a Worldwide Creative Suite Design evangelist for Adobe, travels the world speaking to large audiences about Adobe’s products.  But traveling for speaking engagements doesn’t mean his job is like a constant vacation. … Read more >
