At Adobe, we believe in creating change. Being involved is a core part of our company values and culture. To offer Adobe employees inspiration and to encourage action, Adobe Corporate Responsibility (CR) has established Be Involved Month. Held annually in June, Be Involved Month dedicates four weeks to employee volunteering and opportunities to get involved – both on site at Adobe and out in the community.
This year, employee-driven CR Action Teams initiated more than 100 local volunteer events and community-building activities. Focused on environmental sustainability, the Adobe Foundation program Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) and local nonprofit organizations, the CR Action Teams provided numerous opportunities for employees to get out and get involved. So far, we’ve had over 1,000 employees participate in Be Involved Month activities across 17 Adobe sites.
In San Francisco, teams of employees assembled bags with supplies and toys with the organization Project Night Night for homeless children. The Tokyo, Japan, office held a charity bowling event while the Maidenhead, UK, office held a fundraising baking competition. Employees in Noida, India, participated in an educational session with the Noida Deaf Society to learn basic sign language, and the Lehi, Utah, office alone had 24 projects benefitting eight local causes.
“All employees should be able to see the positive impact we’re making on our local communities…the smiles that families who have received our help have shared with our volunteers. We’re a group of very passionate dedicated individuals that are driven to help others,” says Suzanne W., Lehi CR Action Team lead.
While involvement is an ongoing effort at Adobe, we’re proud to have all our employees rallying together in June to offer their time and effort to give back to the communities where we work and live. Learn more about Adobe’s CR efforts.
