Dual Studies: An Introduction to Adobe

Adobe intern Manuela B. can chat in English and French, in addition to her native German, and is currently taking up Chinese.  Account development manager Christian F. interned for Adobe as a University student in Germany, then spent a year abroad, visiting 12 different countries.  He was hired for a full-time position shortly after he returned. Both hail from the Dual Studies program in Germany, which combines the theoretical aspects of University study with hands-on professional work opportunities over a period of three years.  Students enrolled in the program apply … Read more >

Taking a Break

Adobe employees prepared for sunny beaches, nature hikes, chilly water, rock climbing and more on their vacation time.  Here’s how a few spent or planned to spend their vacations: I spent the Adobe break battling the sizzling Hawaiian heat while running my first ½ marathon in Kona on the Big Island. This was the culmination of a 3-month training and fundraising program I did with Team Challenge, a nonprofit that raises funds and awareness aimed at improving drugs and ultimately finding a cure for Crohn’s & Colitis diseases. I raised $5,800 and … Read more >

Here are three important questions Adobe focuses on to define career growth, as well as questions you need to ask yourself to determine if an organization is growth-ready: How receptive is the organization to new ideas and creativity? Getting to Know Adobe’s University Talent Team…

A little bit about me … I joined Adobe about five years ago as a new grad from San Jose State University. My first job here was, in my opinion, the best first HR job one could have in corporate HR. It was as a member of the HRIC (HR Information Center), where I got a serious crash course in all things HR related. After an amazing year on the HRIC team, I moved over to the University Talent Team; I had always had a big interest in being a part … Read more >

Putting the Fun Back in Fundraising

The Pineapple Classic 5k was inspired by the impact cancer had on one family and a desire to raise funds and awareness in a unique, exciting way. The next four years consisted of testing and treatments while the family did what was necessary to get healthy again. Instead of crumbling in the face of adversity, Eric’s family banded together to gain control of their lives and raise thousands of dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma … Read more >
