Previous attendees – loyalist price

Registration for MAX is now open, and we already have people signing up.  As usual, the earlier you sign up, the better your price AND you get first dibs on session selection.  MAX sessions do sell out every year.

Something to remember, the following statement is true even for previous attendees that purchase a full conference pass at US$895.*

Adobe MAX now includes a complimentary annual
Adobe® Creative Cloud™ membership.
**

You will get: Three days of fresh inspiration, connection, and hands-on training AND a complimentary annual membership to Adobe® Creative Cloud™ all for US$895.  Once you register online for the event, within about 7 days, you’ll get your activation code for the Creative Cloud via email from the MAX team.

So loyalists, register by January 31 and use promotion code LYT100*.

See you at MAX!

Attend Create Now Live

The holidays have officially begun for me.  It’s a big week for Adobe and I really hope you join us for the celebrations…

We’re kicking off with the Create Now Live online event held tomorrow, December 11. Definitely register now – the team is going to share what’s coming next in Adobe® Creative Cloud.  Without getting into too much detail, I can tell you that they’ll be talking about  Adobe Photoshop® (with some feature sneak peeks), discussing how print designers can take their design skills from print to online and mobile, and sharing how teams can work better together in Creative Cloud.  There’s also going to be some amazing guest speakers:

  • Kelby Media Group CEO Scott Kelby shows off hidden gems in Photoshop CS6.
  • Iconic design agency Karlssonwilker talks about taking its unique design sensibility to the web.
  • Go behind the scenes of “A Liars Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman” with Animation Producer Justin Weyers.

Don’t miss it, it’s a free online event and a great way to get up to speed on Creative Cloud and all the innovation surrounding it.  Should be pretty inspirational too.

So that’s my first Adobe holiday celebration.  But of course the one that’s closest to my heart is a bunch of announcements around Adobe MAX 2013 that will be coming tomorrow….

Here’s a hint: Adobe MAX is now The Creativity Conference.
More to come tomorrow…

MAX Moves to Spring

A note from Kevin Lynch, Adobe CTO

One of my favorite things to do at Adobe is work on MAX, our annual designer and developer conference. It has continuously evolved and adapted over time, driven by our primary goal to host an outstanding event that inspires and is inspired by the Adobe community. It has emerged as a truly amazing event.

As MAX has grown, the team at Adobe is thinking ahead to what comes next and how the conference should evolve and maintain its status as the premier event for digital media. With this in mind, we have decided that the time is right to move to the spring event season rather than hold an end of year event. The next MAX will be hosted on May 4-8 in Los Angeles.

While we are still working on the full agenda for the conference, the program will be structured around the types of digital experiences important to designers and developers:

-     Design and creativity

-     Web sites, including the latest on HTML5, JavaScript and CSS

-     Digital publishing, video, and gaming, including the latest on Flash

-     Applications, particularly for mobile platforms

We will be announcing more details about MAX 2013 in the coming weeks and months, including a world-class speaker line-up of industry experts and luminaries.

In the meantime, if you attended MAX 2011, you can start using your free one-year Creative Cloud membership, including full access to all the of the CS6 applications and more. We appreciate your attending MAX and being among the first to experience Creative Cloud!

I have never been more excited to be working on digital experiences. We are now living in an incredibly disruptive period in technology as the world moves to a multiscreen, connected reality. This is an amazing atmosphere for innovation, and we are embracing this in the transformation of Adobe as well. I look forward to seeing you at MAX in May!

Adobe roadmap for the Flash runtimes

With MAX 2012 planning well under way,  I wanted to share with the MAX audience some newly published information on Flash runtimes and Flex and give an update on MAX 2011 giveaways. Mike Chambers has a good blog post out early this morning that details a lot of this information, but I’ll drop a few direct links in here as well.  We hope to have MAX 2012 registration up in late spring – so stay tuned.

MAX 2011 Giveaways

If you attended MAX 2011 you should have received an email from the MAX team on how to claim your first free MAX 2011 gift that will allow you to create an iPad app using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Single Edition. Please contact MAX customer service if you are a registered MAX 2011 attendee and did not receive the email.

And a quick reminder: Each MAX 2011 attendee has a complimentary Adobe Creative Cloud membership coming their way in the first half of 2012. This membership provides you with a comprehensive set of tools including the full offering of Adobe Creative Suite desktop applications, the six Adobe Touch Apps announced at MAX, and additional applications, services, and inspiring community features.

Thanks – and looking forward to seeing you in October!
