Are you active in a web analytics user group or online community? Have you wanted to get connected to more members of the digital marketing community, but aren’t sure where to start? Are there things Adobe could be doing to help support the community?
If your answer to any of these questions is “YES” then you’re in luck. We’re looking to build out a stronger community infrastructure in 2012 and what better time and place to kick it off than at Adobe Summit.
We’ll be holding two open meetings at Summit to get your input and help you connect. If you’d like to attend one, please respond here or stop by the “Social Connection” booth at Summit, in the Community Pavilion on Wednesday or Thursday from 1-1:30pm. You can also visit us anytime during Community Pavilion hours to chat. You’ll be able to meet fellow community members, give Adobe your feedback, and maybe even pick up a nice thank-you gift as well!
See you in Salt Lake City!
Adobe Digital Marketing Summit is just around the corner (!) so we thought you might like a short checklist to ensure you’re prepared for your trip Salt Lake City:
Remember to soak up every minute of activity while there – you can always sleep the following week! Summit is jam-packed with educational, networking and ‘just plain fun’ events. Our hope is that you’ll find each of those aspects of the event equally valuable. See you in Utah!
As Summit comes speeding toward us, we’re excited to be hosting Brad Rencher, Adobe SVP and GM of Digital Marketing for our final 2012 Twitterview Q&A session. Brad is a key visionary in the evolution of our end-to-end digital marketing platform, the Adobe Digital Marketing Suite. Brad will also be taking the main stage at Summit, so we’re extra eager to offer you the opportunity to connect with one of our featured speakers!
Brad has a lot to talk about, so come prepared with your best questions! He’s passionate about driving business impact by making digital marketing an integral part of successful business strategies. He believes that the power of big data, as well as changing consumer behaviors in response to new media and technologies can make a direct impact on businesses that are engaged in digital. You’ll often hear him say that your digital strategy is your business strategy. It’s that kind of vision that makes us excited to have Brad leading the way in digital marketing at Adobe.

David Karnstedt, Former CEO of Efficient Frontier and now VP of Advertising at Adobe, discusses his new position at Adobe, the future of social media marketing, and Efficient Frontier at the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit.
Check it out!
For years, we’ve been fortunate enough to host the world’s most innovative marketing professionals at the Omniture Summit, now the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit. One of the great things about it all is that these top marketers have joined us not once, not twice, but year after year after year.
We want Summit first-timers to have the same awesome experience Summit veterans have enjoyed for over a decade, so we took to the social airwaves and asked you old-timers for some learnings after years of attending Summit. We want to know: what is the best advice to Summit newbies?
Here are some of the top tips gathered for the Summit first-timers on Storify:
Pretty sage advice.
We of course also asked our Summit team here at Adobe for their tips, and here’s what they had to say:
1. Check out the session catalog ahead of time
Always be prepared! Come to Summit knowing what sessions you want to attend. With over 70 to choose from, it’s important to know what’s offered and lay out your schedule in advance to avoid conflicts or missing out on relevant sessions. Whether you’re into ad targeting, app analytics, or digital video, we’re bound to have sessions for your needs and interests. Check out the session catalog to plan your Summit experience.
2. Pre-register for sessions
Hand in hand with tip number one, you need to pre-register for sessions, because they fill up fast! Once you’ve settled on your favorites, use our online scheduler to pre-register and snag a spot in as many sessions as you can. If you have trouble deciding, the scheduler can auto-populate open slots in your schedule with other sessions you might be interested in. You can also use the scheduler to block out time for personal meetings, lunch with colleagues, and other activities (like networking!).
3. Take advantage of training sessions
Want to learn how to use an Adobe Digital Marketing product, or just need a refresher? Strategy sessions and speeches aren’t all Summit has to offer. We’re offering ten pre-Summit training courses to give you hands-on experience with SiteCatalyst, Test&Target, SocialAnalytics, and more. This is a rare chance to hear directly from Adobe experts and get the inside scoop on getting the most from your digital marketing. Don’t miss this opportunity!
4. Spend some time at the BOZ
And while you’re taking advantage of training, why not drop by the Business Optimization Zone (BOZ) located in the Community Pavilion and meet 1:1 with Adobe ClientCare experts to help address your unique business needs? If a breakout session sparked some ideas for you, the BOZ will also be running 15-minute how-to presentations spanning topics relevant to the Adobe Digital Marketing Suite. Swing by to polish those skills!
5. Have fun!
Take advantage of the networking, the parties, the after-parties, and live entertainment. Stop by and say hi at the Social Connection (a newer Summit addition), a great place to unwind, catch up on the social media buzz about Summit. And of course, make sure to stay for the ski day on Friday — you won’t want to miss the world-class Utah powder. Summit is fun, so have fun at Summit! Who knows? You might make some new friends and contacts that will last long after the week is over.

Only two weeks to go before the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit kicks off in Salt Lake City! We’re stoked and to help get you ready we’re hosting our third Twitterview this Thursday (details below). Our special guest will be former Efficient Frontier President and CEO David Karnstedt, who’s now heading up Adobe’s online advertising initiatives as the VP and general manager of Advertising Solutions within our Digital Marketing Business.
Adobe’s acquisition of Efficient Frontier was completed in January and both sides have come together to help marketers better plan, execute, measure and optimize online campaigns across search, social and display to maximize their return on ad spend. More will be discussed at Summit around integration plans and the product road map, but don’t miss David’s Twitterview to hear about what Efficient Frontier brings to Adobe and gain some industry insights.
