Holiday reading: Six European titles launch using Adobe tools

Just in time for my holiday reading, European publishers released a slew of magazine apps this week using Adobe tools – enough to keep me busy over the vacation period.  These publications push Adobe over the mark of 50 apps using Digital Publishing Suite this week.

Bauer Publishing today released Empire Magazine for iPad in the UK, which integrates video to augment the film magazine’s Hollywood insider info.  As one of the world’s largest film magazines, the multimedia integration clearly is an instance where the medium is very suited for the subject.

And since BBC America’s Top Gear always seems to be on television at my house, what better way to be fully immersed in fast cars than downloading the free edition of Dennis Publishing’s Evo magazine

If cars aren’t fast enough, you can also check out Sports Bike Legends, a motorcycle publication released this last week by Future Publishing.  The company has also released other hobbyist publications this week, including Digital Camera Magazine (to learn how to shoot stunning landscape shots over your holiday vacation) and, in what might be my favorite title yet “The 50 Best Guitars To Play Before You Die” by Guitarist magazine.

Finally, I wrote previously about international publisher Bonnier using Digital Publishing Suite to reinvent their newspapers.  This last week another Bonnier newspaper launched using Adobe tools.  If you read Swedish (or even if you don’t) check out Sydsvenskan, a newspaper in southwest Sweden.

And as always, you can learn about new publications using Digital Publishing Suite from our online gallery. Happy reading!
