CreativeSync: Coming to Flash Professional CC!

Adobe MAX 2015

Today Adobe announced a number of new innovations to Creative Cloud, including new mobile touch apps, touch interfaces in desktop tools, and video assets coming to Adobe Stock.

We also emphasized our vision for a “connected creative canvas,” where people can create and share their work from anywhere. This vision, powered by CreativeSync, connects designers with the assets they use everyday across desktop and mobile apps.

We’re extremely excited to announce that CreativeSync is coming to Flash Professional CC. With Creative Cloud Libraries integration, you’ll be able to access brushes, colors, graphics, and more directly in Flash Professional, whether you’ve made them yourself or if they’ve been shared with you. This means that you’ll be able to use creative assets from Adobe tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, or even mobile apps like the newly released Capture CC.

Following Adobe’s other flagship products, Adobe Stock will also be deeply integrated into Flash Professional, bringing a vibrant marketplace of stock photos, images and vector graphics to your animations. In fact, you’ll be able to animate and add life to static content you’ve found in Stock, opening up entirely new possibilities.

This is only a brief glimpse into updates that are coming to Flash Professional before the end of the year. We will share more insights into other updates, including new drawing tools like vector brushes (!).

In the meantime, be sure to watch the Adobe MAX keynote from Los Angeles, and see what else is coming to Creative Cloud – you won’t be disappointed!

Best Regards,

New course on HTML5 Canvas and WebGL project types in Flash Professional

A new course on HTML5 Canvas and WebGL project types in Flash Professional went live on Lynda.com yesterday.  Here is a brief description and link to the course –

HTML5 Canvas and WebGL in Flash Professional CC with Joseph Labrecque
http://www.lynda.com/Flash-Professional-tutorials/HTML5-Canvas-WebGL-Flash-Professional-CC/383037-2.html

Create a shared pool of content for a set of related projects—an HTML5 video, a WebGL-rendered interactive ad, and an HTML5 Canvas game—using Flash Professional CC.

No longer restricted to only ActionScript and Flash Player, Flash Professional CC offers more publishing possibilities than ever before. Developers can now use Flash to build assets and animation that target platforms such as HTML5 Canvas and WebGL. And adding JavaScript allows for playback on just about any modern desktop or mobile device.

This course focuses on using Flash Professional CC to create a shared pool of content for a set of related projects: an HTML5 video, an interactive ad, and a simple web-based game. Author Joseph Labrecque shows how to use Flash’s familiar toolset to build and manage assets that fit into a modern web publishing workflow.

Topics include:
• Using code snippets and actions
• Assembling and animating a scene for video
• Rendering the video
• Laying out an ad with WebGL and JavaScript
• Programming a game in HTML5 Canvas

Thanks,

Ajay Shukla, Sr. Product Manager, Flash CC
