Acrobat Player was an embedded-system version of the Acrobat code that was built into three projectors manufactured by Proxima in the early 1990's. This was a publicly announced project, and the Adobe/OEM jointly developed product was sold to some number of customers by Proxima. Other applications for Acrobat Player were discussed, but did not get beyond prototyping.
