Portable keywords lists in Bridge

Many customer have asked about the portability of Bridge keywords. They want to be able to export keyword lists in order to edit and organize them more easily.
With Bridge 1.03 (mac | win), customers can access the list of keywords that Bridge uses in an XML based format. Previously this information was stored in a more binary, harder to edit format – the .abdata file.
The Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml file is available in these locations:
Mac:
(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge/
Windows:
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Adobe\Bridge
Simply edit the file in a text or XML browser and save. Re-launching Bridge will read in the new keywords list.
I would be interested to hear how customers would like to manage their keywords.

I have upgraded from CS4 to CS5, and my keywords did not transfer over. Using the instructions listed above doesn’t work. I am working on windows 7, so that may be a different thing all together. My husband has Vista, and all his keywords transfered over. Can you help me?

I have two computers both with bridge and cs4. I have made my keywords in bridge on the one. We work on external hard drives. How can i transfer my keywords to the other computer. If the keyword is in the file, why wont it come up on the other computer in bridge.

Both Bridge & Elements have XML export capability for keywords, but neither seems to have an XML IMPORT. I just purchased CS5 Extended and was hoping for a simple way to transport my keywords from Elements to Bridge, but I can’t find any method other than plain text files. I tried replacing the xml file in C:\Users\[userid]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS5, but it is overwritten by the data from some cache file as soon as I restart Bridge.
