Welcome to my AEC/MFG Blog! My name is Jonathan Bowman and I am Solutions Engineer for Adobe supporting these verticals. I am hoping to provide you very valuable insight to Adobe’s technology’s that support these industries as well as keeping you up to date on things I find interesting in the AEC/MFG community.
You may be interested to know that the individuals from Adobe that support your industries actually come from your industry. My background is that I am a Civil Engineer and have spent time in what I call “your shoes”. Well maybe not your exact shoes but I do know the pain points and how technology is applied in these industries because I have been there. One of the main reasons I came to Adobe is because I felt like I could make a difference. Adobe is very committed to supporting these industries and developing technologies to meet the industries needs.
So what can you expect? You can expect to be educated on Adobe’s technology and how it is applied in your industry. I know I have several customers in the audience who use applications like Acrobat for “print to pdf” and that is about it….. Hopefully I will educate you on the other 99% of the functionality in Acrobat as well as other Adobe products. You can also expect to be kept abreast as to what is happening in the industry as well how other customers are using our technology. I spend the majority of my time on the road meeting with customers and speaking at industry events. I know a lot of you don’t have the time or the budget to be able to attend these events so hopefully I will keep you up to date in what’s happening in the industry. Last but not least you can expect a strong opinion. The engineer in me always has the question “why”? I hope to share my opinions with you that will help you ultimately do it faster, better and cheaper. You can look at all the technology, processes and initiatives you want to; but when it really comes down to it is all about cost and schedule. I am very passionate about what I do and if you are successful, then Adobe will be successful.
What do I expect from you? The answer is very simple, engage with Adobe. We have a dedicated team and are offering a whole host of ways you can engage. Typically we attend all the major industry conferences; we host our own city tours and road shows, as well as provide eSeminars where you can attend from your location. These are ways you can become educated on the Adobe technology that targeted at your industry. Also, we welcome you to share your experiences and feedback with us as they will help us deliver the solutions you need.
