My touchpad and mouse will work initially in Captivate, but will stop working all of a sudden. I can still move the mouse around the screen, but am unable to click on anything. I’ve tried rebooting (five different times) to trouble shoot. This seems to only happen when I bring my laptop to an empty office (undocked, but powered and connected to our internet) to record audio. (It seems fine with the laptop docked at my desk – but we can’t record audio from there due to background noise!) I am able to use my mouse and touchpad to their fullest capabilities in other programs (Word, etc) even while Captivate isn’t responding/recognizing them. Any thoughts?

When I publish a project, I am getting the following error message: “Your computer does not have sufficient memory resources to compress SWF File.” Exactly how much memory is required to do this? What publish settings will prevent this error message?

I am also having this problem on a dedicated computer. I’m on a 32bit XP machine running 5 gb memory without any other resources running concurrently. I look at the Task Manager processes and the CPU is barely stressed and memory doesnt even reach 75% before I get the same message. I was able to publish the video until I added the last 5 minutes. Is there a patch or something I can do other than externalizing the video? Please advise.

Did you find a solution to the issue you reported, below? I am trying to find a solution to this too and was wondering if you were able to fix.
“I am using captivate 6. Only some of the buttons on the skin works. for instance the exit or close button doesn’t work but the pause, play, forward and previous buttons do. How can I enable the close button on the skin and TOC?”

The bottom part of the slides are white, but import to Captivate as gray. When I preview them the bottom part is white. However, when I publish the Captivate project the bottom part of the slides are gray. this also affects questions slides I create in Captivate. They show up as gray even though they should be white. What is causing this?
