Learn Adobe Captivate 4

Here comes first book on Adobe Captivate 4 – Essentials of Adobe Captivate 4 which is a part of series of two books, second being Adobe Captivate 4: Beyond the Essentials. Read the announcement here.

It starts with a bird’s eye view of planning eLearning projects, the process involved in it and time/ budgetary considerations and prepares you for what to expect from your authoring tool- all in simple and jargon free terms. It further deals with how to use the tool for recording, editing and distributing the project. These are well explained using actual screen shots. It also has few practical tips like how to reuse your demonstration projects to create assessment projects. This takes you through all the basic aspects of creating a good course. Once done with this you are ready to explore more advanced features. The second book covers exactly this.

    hey there,I’m having a big problem with captivate 4.i converted all my project files and continued to work on the captivate 4 version.now that i want to export the projects i can’t do so with the skin i used in captivate 3.the playbar should be on the slide, i already set an area for that, but i can’t seem to put it in the same place.i really have to do that since the project in conected to a flash framework and nothing can be changed in the design.is there anyway to solve this? it is very important.can i reconvert the files to captivate 3 then? somehow use it’s skin editor maybe?If i would to switch the files of captivate 3 skin editor with captivate’s 4 – will that do the trick?thank you very much.Hila.

    Does anyone have any idea when Captivate 4 is likely to get market traction? We are currently teaching Captivate 3 classes which are very popular so not sure now would be the best time to start teaching Captivate 4.
