Update for Adobe Captivate is now available for Mac

Update for Adobe Captivate is now available for Mac version — version 6.0.1 (Build 240), which is available for download through Help Menu > Updates… You can download it manually as well from http://adobe.ly/wJqYI, and install it. A bunch of key issues are addressed through this update including the following fixes.

  1. Output from Trial version - Before this update, content created through trial version of Adobe Captivate 6 would expire in 30 days from the project creation. With Adobe Captivate 6.0.1, the published outputs will expire in 30 days from the date of Publishing. Continue reading…

My Experience with Creating a Scenario-based Course: Part 5

I demonstrated this project at the eLearning DemoFest 2012 event, where a variety of solutions for day-to-day eLearning challenges including tools, technologies, and processes are showcased. And the good news is that this course won the Best Soft Skills Course award. :) :)

For DemoFest, I used the same course that I’ve shared with you in this blog series, made some cosmetic changes to it along with adding a lightbox-style menu and used some canned interactions to create the Top Issues and New Features pop-ups. I’ll share a few short tutorials on how to create these interactions in a couple of days on the Captivate Tutorials page. Stay tuned!

My First ‘Captivating’ Blog!

When trying to think of how to begin my first ever ‘official’ blog, I thought about trying to make some profound or controversial statement, to provoke a response amongst the Captivate community! However, when it comes to Education, it would be difficult to say something very new or different, as teaching and learning affects absolutely every single person, in the whole wide world!

From nurseries, to adult education, kindergartens to IT courses for the elderly, we all learn, and are taught, which makes the job of the educational technologist difficult yet exciting, puzzling yet challenging, all in equal measure!

Therefore, rather than beginning my very first Captivate blog with a profound or controversial question, intended to make an impact, I offer a small but perfectly formed conundrum -
