You are no longer forced to use the 32-bit version of MS Office, just because you want to create PowerPoint based eLearning. The new 64-bit Presenter 8 now works with your 64-bit MS PowerPoint.
How do you find out if you have 32-bit or 64-bit of MS-Office? It’s very simple, open MS PowerPoint and go to File> ‘About Microsoft PowerPoint’> … it would show you if it is 32-bit or 64-bit.
Do remember, there are separate installers for 32-bit and 64-bit version of Adobe Presenter. So, when you are downloading the installer, make sure you select the correct one.
Download the Adobe Presenter 8 64-bit version here.

Since last few days, Adobe Presenter 8 users are getting a McAfee ‘Generic Downloader Trojan’ virus alert for one of the Presenter installer files.
We reached out to McAfee regarding this issue and they have agreed that this is a false positive. McAfee will be excluding this virus alert for Presenter 8 installer file in their next update which is expected in a day or two.
Meanwhile, if you would like to use Adobe Presenter 8 uninterruptedly, please disable the McAfee virus scan before using Adobe Presenter 8.
If you have any further questions regarding this issue. Please leave a comment here and we’ll get back to you.
Update: This issue has been resolved by McAfee. If you were affected by this issue in the last few days, ensure that you have the latest version of McAfee and then uninstall and reinstall Adobe Presenter.

When recording a video using Adobe Presenter Video Creator, if you get an internal error or graphics driver error at the end of recording a video, opening a project, or publishing a project, it’s quite possible that the graphics driver for your computer/laptop is not up-to-date.
Follow these simple steps to check the graphics driver version and update it to the latest version:
- Verify if the driver is up-to-date – Device Manager > Display Adapters > right-click on the adapter > Properties > Driver tab. Check ‘Driver Date’. Ideally, the driver should not be older than a couple months.
- If you have an old driver, identify the make of the graphics card on your computer.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the corresponding vendor (for example, Intel, AMD, nVidia).
If you still get the error messages, please follow these steps to email us the diagnostic report.

- Are designed to guide a learner through the course
- Speak directly to the learner
Avatar images are easier to find than images for Continue reading…

How most people use characters
One thing I notice when hosting workshops is that the first time users try to insert character images, the end product looks about the same for all users: they use the character as an avatar and the full character (head to toe) is in the viewable area. Continue reading…

When we use PowerPoint as an authoring environment, we end up making our courses look like presentations, as the default slide designs and layouts we have at our disposal are very few. Moreover these layouts are specifically designed for presentations and not for creating eLearning content. But not anymore!
With the all new Adobe Presenter 8, you have the freedom to choose a perfect layout that exactly matches your eLearning content type. You can seamlessly use these layouts with scenes, characters, images, and animations to bring your eLearning courses to life. These layouts are specially designed to be used for eLearning courses and adapt neatly with the design theme you have used to create your Adobe Presenter course.
Exciting, isn’t it? Continue reading…
