For those of you facing CFB performance and stability issues on Snow Leopard or on Mac in general, can you please try the following and let us know if you see any difference?
1. Uncheck 'Use Mozilla browser for Extensions' in Preferences->ColdFusion->Extensions
2. Turn off 'Time Machine' in System Preferences

While it may improve performance the turning off of a backup system should not be a suggested fix for performance or any issue. Customizing the Time Machine settings to exclude folders that only CFBuilder or Eclipse use I an see.
I strongly support the efforts to improve the performance and wish you and the team all the best in making it fly!

Sam, I think it was just poor word choice. :-) I don't think Adobe/Dipanwita means "turn it off so you can work with CFBuilder", but rather, "if you're having a problem, see if turning it off would help that problem go away, and report that. The information may help discern what the conflicts are so that further recommendations can be made."
Yours is a good example of a start in such recommendations. Let's hear if people report if that (or the other changes) do help. As has been discussed in the forums, it's challenging to understand some of the complaints people have, when they can't be easily recreated. The more details people can share about their configuration, the more likely the culprits (which may vary machine to machine) can be found.
I don't think Sam needed to hear that. I'm offering it as much for others, as I realize there's a lot of frustration among some with performance problems they're seeing. Just know that not everyone does, so solving it seems to be a challenge.
