Celebrating Women In March
In observance of Women’s History Month, we are putting the spotlight on films that celebrate women and girls: their choices, their accomplishments, their strength and their beauty.
We’ll take a look at one young woman’s struggle to develop a positive self-image, to another young woman’s courageous struggle with her health; a celebration of the women who have been positive role models for their daughters and nieces, and young women asserting their identity and individuality.
To start off this month’s theme, we invite you to watch “Women Empowerment” – created by a group of young South African filmmakers, Women Empowerment celebrates the hard work and resilience of their mothers, and their ability to overcome the obstacles that life has placed at their feet.
