Young Leaders in Education in Boston
Young leaders in education from several youth organizations across the Boston area gathered at the Harriet Tubman House to discuss what it means to create an education centric culture at the family, community, and school level.
This event is one of nine stops on the National Youth Listening Tour, organized by the US Department of Education in response to President Obama’s 2020 goal to become the “best educated, most competitive workforce in the world.”
Adobe Youth Voices student representatives participated in the Boston event, and showcased the film Reasons, created by students in the EDCO Youth Alternative program.
Adobe Youth Voices students will also have a contributing presence at two more stops on the tour. The next event takes place in Seattle on October 13th, and students from Oakland & San Francisco will be contributing their perspectives on October 21st.
Findings from the tour will be presented to Department of Education leadership, with the goal of using findings to inform education reform initiatives and other department programs.
Check out our news & events page for more information about this and other updates from Adobe Youth Voices.
