One of the things we’re most excited about is how the Creative Cloud will continue to get better over time. We’re committed to Creative Cloud as a service, and that means constantly adding new features and functionality, releasing new software and services, and rolling things out quickly. Here’s a taste of what we’ve got planned in the near future.
• Creative Cloud Connection. Our first major update will come in a few weeks and include our desktop client. Connection will complete the circle, offering automatic syncing of your desktop machine. You’ll be able to edit or create files on any device and have your changes pushed everywhere else you work. Getting this right is, of course, critical. That’s why we’re releasing each component of our strategy in succession, ensuring the best possible experience as you begin using the Creative Cloud.
• Sharing and collaboration. Next, we’ll give you the ability to connect with other people as well. I’ve been spending a lot of time talking to people about how they do their work, and thinking a lot about how I collaborate with my own team. More and more, it seems that our working style feels a lot more like the social tools we use everyday. Rather than rigid processes, we embrace sharing. Rather than formal critique, we offer quick comments and “likes.” Investing in these patterns will be one of our highest priorities for the Creative Cloud. Soon, we’ll offer even more ways to connect with your colleagues and clients. You’ll be able to set sharing permissions on groups of files organized by either folders or thematic collections, build a profile out of publicly shared files, and follow the work of other members who inspire you. Shortly after that, we’ll be offering a Team Edition, including intuitive license management and permission tools so you and your coworkers can focus on creating beautiful work, not juggling your software and projects.
• Seamless workflows. We’ve also been hard at work tying all of Adobe’s tools together with services. This means we can support the entire creative process, from the initial spark of an idea through to the finished product. We’re launching our first example of this today with web publishing. Log on to Creative Cloud and you can design websites in Muse, add web fonts via Typekit, publish to our Business Catalyst hosting platform, and manage all your site’s assets with our integrated file syncing. We’ve been calling these “end-to-end workflows” and there will be more coming soon, including iPad publishing through InDesign and mobile app development using PhoneGap Build.
• Deeper integration with desktop and touch tools. Finally, every product team across Adobe is thinking about how integration with Creative Cloud can help you be more successful. That means being able to do more cool stuff when your files are stored in the cloud — file translations, back-end processing, and versioning. It also means bringing powerful sharing and collaboration features into the apps themselves. And with all of your applications connected to the cloud, you’ll have the choice to install new features and updates sooner.
This is, of course, just the beginning. We’ll be updating things continuously, but doing so in a clear and focused way. You’ll always be able to see what’s been added in the product itself, but also on this blog, our Twitter feed, and on Facebook.
We’re very interested in your thoughts on our future plans. What can we do to make all of this fit even better into the way you work? Where should we invest our time? Please let us know.

How about a feature to allow us to use Typekit fonts in Photoshop when mocking up designs? (Appreciate that you’ve introduced Muse but many of us won’t be able to adapt our workflow to use it immediately or are still assessing whether it fits in)
Yup, this an important facility. Much has been made of the inclusion of a typekit account, It’s only providing web designers with 1/2 a tool. until we can use the fonts available in typekit as part of the CC account in mockups, there’s no real advantage and most will stick to using Google Fonts…
Absolutely need the PS integration for my workflow. For now, Typekit is nice for the Adobe fonts I already own. But if I can’t use them in a mockup, the remainder of the fonts are not of much use to me.
I just got the email telling me about the cloud downloads. I’m so eager to start poking around and see how can I improve my workflow. Thx.
Recently discovered without any documentation that Illustrator CS6 excludes any capability of importing Freehand files unlike CS5. If this is dues to the Illustrator 64 bit change, a streamlined feature on the Creative Cloud to perform batch conversions of uploaded FH files to Illustrator files would be extremely helpful. It would reward the designer who would like to embrace Adobe’s current business model of the Creative Cloud and allow us to move away from our Freehand archives with speed and confidence. This would encourage the old Freehand design community to adopt to the Creative Cloud model and allow myself and others to discard an obsolete version of Illustrator that I’ll have to hold onto indefinitely for opening archived client files from just a few years ago.
Agreed! This would also be helpful for the users that have switched over to your products already, but happen to have freehand files laying around that they want to convert to illustrator.
The exclusion of converting Freehand files in Illustrator CS6 is yet another example of narrow thinking by Adobe’s Development system… instead of REWARDING designers (like me) for making the final, complete jump to Illustrator by creating an easy pathway of compatibility… they are PUNISHING us by forcing us to use ONLY illustrator…. which would be fine if I did not already have 20+ years of legacy files that represented thousands of hours of work… work that is now as useful as a chocolate bar in a swimming pool… Adobe needs to learn that to get people to do what you want, you need to REWARD them for the change, NOT beat them into submission until they accept it. Sheesh.
So the iPad publishing through InDesign isn’t there yet. I hope it shows up soon since you talked about it in the keynote.
Yup, we’re working that.
Do you guys can tell us when Lightroom will be available thru Cloud?
I second this, I want to see Lightroom as a part of the Creative Cloud and “2012″ is unacceptably vague.
Second the seconding
Likewise, I’d like to have an idea about when LR4 will be available in Creative Cloud.
Absolutely agree – this is a critical selling point for me (even though I have now subscribed). LR is the pivotal tool for my workflow and I really don’t want to pay to upgrade to LR4 for Adobe to then launch it with CreativeCloud a fortnight later!
Please take a look at the functionality of DFStudio for photographers. If you could offer some of the functionality from that site for photographers and designers alike, it would be extremely attractive as a collaboration tool with shop’s team as well as clients.
Speed: For most of the apps, the installer takes >10 minutes to install each one — longer than it takes to download them. AI in particular took about 15 mins or so. File up/download speeds appeared to be severely throttled, but this may have simply been the early download rush overloading your servers.
Cloud Files: Try as I might, I could not find a way to delete a file.
Cloud Sync: A Collage file already synced to the cloud, then edited on a tablet, would not sync. The only way to upload the new version was to rename it. There was no option to overwrite.
InDesign: Fonts are not accurately displayed. They aren’t even close — Myriad is substituted for Futura, point sizes are off by 50% or more in some cases and alignment is destroyed. The appearance of a layout when shared with a client would be completely… well, “misleading” is the kindest word I can think of.
Browser: Firefox and IE both seem to have difficulty rendering document thumbnails. Generic icons or “spinning squares” is typical. Chrome does okay. Opera and Safari not tested.
InCopy: Really must be part of the Creative Cloud.
Some advice on the relationship between boxed versions and Cloud (I have both) would be helpful. If I install from the box, can I sync to/from the Cloud? How does that work?
Fantastic work so far. Still a ways to go.
Hi Alan,
To delete one or more files, click the checkmark on the left end of the toolbar. Then, select the files you wish to delete and click the trash can icon. This puts the files in a Deleted collection.
To permanently delete, select “Deleted” from the drop-down list on the right end of the toolbar. Once again, use the checkmark to select the files you want. You have the option to either restor or permanently delete.
We plan on simplifying this and making these actions mored discoverable soon. Stay tuned!
Hi Alan,
Regarding Cloud Sync- After you edit a Collage file file it should automatically sync to the Creative Cloud. Can you contact me directly so that we can figure out the issue? mike.wallen@adobe.com. Thanks!
Is there any plans to be able to brand our creative cloud emails when sending files. Everything is branded to Adobe. Also sending multiple files etc.
These features exist in Acrobat send now and is one main reason for me stalling on the cloud.
Can’t wait for the new features of the CC! I ever wished you would implement something like gridiron’s flow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1prWe2QXAGI
A fantastic product but it seems they always have marketing problems.
Am I the only one having licensing problems? I am a Creative Cloud subscriber, yet all the applications tell me I have 27 trial days remaining before I have buy the software. Adobe support was no help last week, and I get no response to my latest query.
Can you provide a bit more information on what the Creative Cloud Connection program does beyond “Access Cloud Files on the Desktop? Will it be able to see when I make a change to the file on my desktop and upload the file to the cloud?
I would love to see a companion iOS app created by Adobe that would allow me to export pictures over directly to my iPad so that i could take my iPad to a client and let them view pictures from a photo shoot. With this, the client could select the images that they like, type comments about the picture (IE: brighten the face, adjust the color, etc.) and sync that information back into Lightroom. I just want a quick and simple way that would allow me to sit down with my clients and go through images from a photo shoot and take notes from that collaborative session.
For me, everything has been working well and I am very pleased. I’m running Windows 7 64bit, and I have medium slow to pathetically slow mobile broadband via a smart phone hot spot that is my only internet connection. I have installed 10 apps so far. I just click on “install” at bedtime, and in the morning the app is ready to run. Hasn’t failed once. I don’t know how long it takes, except it is less than 8 hours per app at about an 800K connection speed, hardly a fast connection. But my main two questions are: Will Lightroom4 be a part of CC, definitely? and When?
I just want to add to my previous post, so that it doesn’t appear to be just a demand. I feel that Lightroom is potentially an important part of CC because of it’s potential to used to show my customers how a restored photo looks, so that they can see a soft proof (although that is going to be problematical because of my monitor being calibrated and theirs not necessarily). I.E, I can imagine a cloud version of Lightroom for viewing of photos by customers, and possibly downloading with specific color profiles to take to a printer at their end.
But I also want to commend you for the robustness of the Application Manager. If it can persist in downloading/installing at my connection speeds, it should be able to handle just about anything.
Interesting Jeffrey. I am looking forward for some of these improvements as well.
Actually, imo the thread via the link below hits the head on the nail on some of CCs most obvious shortcomings: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4407560 in it’s present state…
Particularly, I think the commenting feature needs improvement – having notes out of visual context is just not useful. Think how e.g. ConceptShare and similar services does the collaborative part easy for designers as well as clients…
Add MP4 share ability. Big need.
Currently, when I attempt to upload an MP4 as a client proof, it tells me I can’t share this type of file?
I need a way to share a known file format that’s small and fast for someone to see as quickly as possible.
Not to mention, I get a lot of files straight off a DSLR to use, and if I need to convert them in order to share them with a collaborator, that’s useless.
Waiting… But actually so excited i cant imagine the day i wake up with the following:
A. Adobe CC Connection utility for local OSX access to our 20Gb.
B. Adobe CC Connection app for iOS & Android to access our 20Gb files ANYWHERE!
C. Publishing to iPad!
D. Lightroom
E. Proto (touch app) REAL export to dreamweaver AND muse!
F. Proto export to pdf
G. Some sort of merging Bridge with Adobe CC Connection or direct access from the first to the other.
H. Dreamweaver opening Muse files and Muse opening html files.
I. Touch apps Kuler & Debut release for the iPad.
Really can’t wait! Especially for the first ones on the list!
I was really excited about web hosting until I discovered that it doesn’t support email. Until now I had never even heard of web site and email hosting being stripped apart. It’s just such a basic, fundamental part of ANY hosting package that it makes Adobe’s approach seem very unusual (and, frankly, kinda useless) by comparison.
I’d be pleased and grateful if your team were able to spend some time looking into adding email hosting to the five web sites included with CC.
Lorin – I’ve been keeping email and hosting separate for over 10 years now. This way I never have to switch email servers when i change hosting providers. among other reasons like security, it just makes more sense to me to keep them separate.
When will BC Become a real hosting platform by offering dynamic language support, at least php/mysql. I think its great Adobe is offering a hosting solution, but to be a serious contender, look at other options like siteground. At this time, I would not use BC for anything but basic hosting.
When will a first update (anything of the above) going to e available?
Cant wait for the update!
So when will teh connection be Availiable? The blog states in a couple of weeks but that was may it’s now coming to the end of June
Waiting to be able to share folders. It would make my work easier when I want to share with a client different options for music/clips… Hope you get this fixed very soon!
Is there any plans to put Captivate into the Creative Cloud? Seems really unfair that all other tools in the elearning suite are in CC. Don’t really get the pricing for Captivate 6 either with it almost half the price of a CC membership
Can’t wait for the dropbox like implementation of file management.
Creative cloud connection When, When, When !!!!!!!!
Agree with omission of captivate from Creative Cloud being a surprise. I’m enrolled and very disappointed. A few programs there I would trade for Captivate. I hope this is an oversight and Captivate is added for existing members.
I would love to have Captivate as part of the Creative Cloud! I agree with Peter!
In the start o this post it mentioned in “a couple of weeks”. When will there be a solution to save or upload from the different apps. Bridge would be a good place to be able to upload files to the “Creative Cloud”.
Is progress still in the process? Is two weeks, four? Curious.
Yup, we held it back because we didn’t hit the performance goals we’d set. I’m running a build now that’s super fast, and just needs a few bugs fixed before it’s ready. Sorry for the delay on this.
Mr. Veen, can you give any sort of update on Creative Cloud Connection? I have been waiting on this software since May, and it was a major selling point when I convinced my management that I should upgrade to Creative Cloud. It’s now nearly September, and the software is *still* not available, and the only release date anyone will give is a vague “in a few weeks.”
I understand that the software is not ready—but I feel like I’m entitled to ask why that is, considering that the company I work for has been paying for it for several months. I’m accountable to my management, and so far the only answer I can give them is: “I don’t know. Adobe keeps promising soon, but not delivering.”
@Jeffrey Veen, A month ago you said there are still “a few bugs [to be] fixed before it’s ready” can’t you post a beta on adobeLabs?
I’ve been a proud Adobe customer for years, but this is very embarrassing!
Is there any way you can just tell us when it will actually be ready?
I’m waiting for the Creative Cloud Connection, when will you publish it?
We need Captivate as part of the Creative Cloud. I agree with Peter and Nick.
Any update on the release date of the Creative Cloud Connection?
Creative cloud connection When, When, When !!!!!!!! [ 2 ]
I need it !!!
Ha! I was going to subscribe, had converted the US$ to euro thought it was reasonable. Then changed from $ to € on Adobes site. Ha! Pull the other one. I’m going back to buying the secondhand Mac with Illustrator installed instead.. what a joke.
Desktop client in a few weeks? That is a LOOOOOONG few weeks!
Yeah, ADOBE what is the hold up!
Your “Special” CC customers are expecting you to do something about your promise!
I need the Cloud Connection ASAP!
“Creative Cloud Connection. Our first major update will come in a few weeks and include our desktop client…” How many weeks can you fit in a few weeks?
Few weeks? I call BS!
I cannot log in to my subscription anymore because my email has changed. I recently bought a mac pro book and my address is janetwinslow@me.com. I have no idea how to log on without starting a new account and being charged twice a month. Please can you help? I have enjoyed the cloud. I have not used it often, but hope to this winter. Today is September 6.
I am sure you guys need just “a few weeks” more, right?

Hi – Quick question – Does anyone know if you can personalise the shared area in the creative cloud dropbox when sharing files for people to view? for example can we change the background colour of the area / or add an image to the background / add a logo etc…?
Plus are we able to personalise the emails that are automatically sent from the system – instead of it coming from the ‘Creative Cloud Team’ – I think this would be a huge benefit to people if these functions are available. Now or in the future.
Any info on this would be great.
(Apologies if this question has already been asked)
Many Thanks.
Hanif.
Hi Hanif – These types of personalizations are not yet possible, but are great suggestions since over-time the sharing workflows will be greatly augmented. I’ll share these ideas with the product team.
I would also like to see Captivate in the Creative Cloud. I want to sign up, but I’m not sure since I also need to work with Captivate. I already had to purchase the elearining suite in order to get the elearning version of Flash although I already had Flash as part of the Master Collection. Adobe already made it impossible to have both (Master Collection and Captivate + elearning version of Flash) and now one cannot have the Creative Cloud + Captivate + elearning version of Flash unless one is willing to invest an outrageous amount of money.
Hi Team
It’s September.
“You’ll be able to set sharing permissions on groups of files organized by either folders or thematic collections…”
Any time frame on this yet. The Mobile Me iDisk and iGalleries used to do a great job with this. It would be great if Creative Cloud could offer similar functionality!
wow! the best friendly amazing adobe! thank you so much:)
A fantastic product but it seems they always have marketing problems.
all sounds fantastic!
i have been using it recently to share files with a client and when i uploaded the movie files (prores compressed) it could not display the reds in the movie preview, these movies were exported out of after effects.
is this something that can be fixed? i know its an apple based codec but it is still supportedby after effects.
greta work guys
james.
Hi Team,
Great job.
My suggestion is this: Please enable MP4 video sharing. Video producers like me really need this feature.
Thanks in advance
If it’s gonna be the same as Dropbox, great!!!!
Cloud serves are worth to deploy any application or site.
I’m a new CC member and have been checking daily, whether the Creative Cloud Connection has been released since it always says “available soon” (at least in the German version), but after reading the comments on this page I became uncertain… will CCC be released soon – say within the next days – or rather weeks or months? Please let us know. Thank you.
Hi – I’m also holding out due to the lack of Captivate. The Cloud only makes sense if you are getting ‘x’ number of apps you use. If Captivate is one of those apps – well, kind of defeats the purpose…
Hi, I have a cs6 master collection trial. I just bought a one month subscription to creative cloud. can i uwe the trial to activate the subscription?
Thanks
Would really love to share folders sooner rather than later. With multiple projects I have to go into each folder and share each image. What a waste of time. Please move on this quickly!!!! Thanks.
Share Folders, Share Folders, Share Folders, Share Folders……….Cloud is a pain is the arse without it. My clients are complaining, so I’m not using it until it’s fixed.

Cloud is really becoming a part of our daily life from so many application now hosted on cloud, it truely the good way to think about.
Come on, it’s been how long since you wrote this post and you still haven’t added folder sharing? This is obviously essential — how did this not get included in v.1? This isn’t desktop software anymore people — it’s the freaking cloud — you should be able to make these fixes on the fly.
Share Folders ?
Now end of January …. nothing ? Come on Adobe , we have clients on our backs complaining …
How can you release Creative Cloud for teams without a “share folder” feature, am I supposed to share hundreds of individual files with my colleagues?
SPEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!! Make upload a lot faster!!!!!!!!!!!! zzzzzzzzzzz
mp4 sharing. Premiere + AE + … = Video = mp4. Cloud = Collaboration = sharing. Please.
Innovation is a hot topic in IT and Cloud, big data and mobility are at the heart of innovation. So I guess these three themes will highlight the upcoming time.

Get the Share Folder option sorted – this is vital and a disgrace it is not available.
I use the Creative Cloud since several months and like some people here I deeply regret the lack of Capture in it.
What the interest of the Creative Cloud if we have to pay again because some products haven’t been included by Adobe? What justifies that all the products aren’t available?
It only makes me turn away from Adobe…
I am waiting 10 month to folder sharing Adobe! 10 months i pay for it and wait for it.
Its urgent!
Question- if two people work in different locations on website design one designing, one building adding content for instance but not a team or company can they both access the work files to do their own part via their own cloud account? This would be case of upload your finished part for the other person to work on then send it back etc.
A recent issue with uploading files to drop box for another person to work with makes this scenario a no brainer but is it possible. This would it seems make home working a breeze .
Anyone help with this before we join and get disappointed with the outcome.
Are there plans to add Captivate to the cloud?
I am waiting 11 month to folder sharing Adobe! 11 months i pay for it and wait for it. Its urgent!
Hello Adobe,
There have been numerous posts about the inclusion of Captivate in the CC but a deafening silence in reply. Could we please have at least an indication if there is an intention for its inclusion in the suite of available products?
Hy. The Cloud should really fast implement some features such as you described above:
My Priorities are:
1. Share Folder with others and also for non-Adobe ID folks (my clients) (and files too)
2. Have an overview over all my shared files. Also those from my co-workers… Now i just get a bunch of cryptic-links as a email. and i can’t remember which cryptic-link refers to which image.
Thanks a lot!
Boris
Hi guys I was exploring creative cloud , just wanted to know can I get the membership in india , as I am from india. And also can I use the desktop apps in multiple PCS ?
Add my vote for Shared Folders, Dammit!
Also Add sharing mp4 files. If you can’t stream them (dropbox can), please let us share them.
Thanks for all the fantastic tools you produce, but really, sharing folders is waaay overdue.
Michael Wade
What a load of rubbish, as an editor I want Premiere, Encore, Audition, After Effects and Photoshop I do not need all the clutter of the plethora of other apps, and a subscription price to go with it.
All this further rubbish that your staff are seeing on the forum and they are commenting about price differentials are utter bunk. There is no need for it just have the same base cost throughout the world + local taxes
Did I say the costs suck, well they suck, especially is you are a long term user.
Rethink, fire the CEO and put someone in who cares about customer service as well as profit
There will be an initial surge then a slow downward spiral as users move to other editing platform/software
