Since the very first day Adobe announced  the acquisition of Satellite TMS, we have been flooded with requests from customers, prospects, and partners asking to begin using Dynamic Tag Management. We think that momentum is only going to continue to grow. Needless to say, we are all excited about the strong interest and the progress that we have made in accelerating the adoption of our tag management solution.

What tags are supported within Dynamic Tag Management?

All of them. No really, every tag and script from every marketing intelligence that is in the market today is supported and will run inside of Dynamic Tag Management. Adobe is committed to providing Dynamic Tag Management users with a comprehensive solution for any of the tags and scripts that a company uses, regardless of who makes them.

What does Dynamic Tag Management cost for Adobe Customers?

Zero. Nada. Zilch. Why should you have to pay extra just to implement solutions that you are already investing other resources into? This does not mean that you will have to sacrifice functionality and support though. Adobe has dedicated teams for Dynamic Tag Management on development, product management, and support. This is in addition to the multitudes of other professional services that are available at Adobe.

What about vendor lock in?

This one amuses me. I have heard this tale of “Vendor Lock In” for a while now, and it is nothing more than a scare tactic from the other TMS solutions in the market. Dynamic Tag Management, and our scenario-based approach to tagging, is the first tag management solution to deliver on the promise of creating that abstraction between your digital assets and the tags that collect the data. This approach, and Adobe’s commitment to provide this solution for free to not only Adobe customers but soon to others, clearly demonstrates that you will never be locked into a particular solution.

Can you use the DTM to add things like the rel=canonical, rel=page,next, or meta data (e.g. meta robots) to a page?
