For a few years now, Adobe Genesis has allowed you to integrate your ForeSee survey with SiteCatalyst. However, the integration just received a very substantial upgrade! Here is a sneak peek into what this new “version 2.0” integration can do.

#1 – Automatic daily transfer of up to 15 ForeSee survey dimensions in to SiteCatalyst! These can include latent scores like “Satisfaction”, “Navigation” and “Look and Feel” as well as any of your custom questions. These items can be used to create powerful new analytics segments in SiteCatalyst (v15+), Discover, and DataWarehouse. See an example lower in the post.

#2 – Automatic daily transfer to ForeSee of SiteCatalyst behavioral data for survey responders. You can select from 40+ metrics and breakdowns. This now can include your custom props and eVars – not previously available in version 1 of the integration. Having these in the ForeSee analysis tool allows for new filtering options for your ForeSee measurements.

An Example

Let’s look at one example of a powerful new SiteCatalyst segment made available by this integration. The segment:  “Very Unsatisfied Visits”.

What does this segment look like?

The ForeSee Satisfaction measure is a score from 0 to 100 where 100 represents the highest possible satisfaction. For this segment we want to only capture visits where a score below 50 was reported. In the Segment Definition Builder this looks like the following…

What can we do with this segment?

Well, a lot! I don’t want to get too lengthy here but with this segment applied you can start to answer questions like…

  • What are the most common paths taken during for which low satisfaction is reported? (look at the Full Paths report)
  • Which site sections are most commonly related to these visits? (look at the Site Sections report)
  • Where are these unsatisfied visitors giving up on their visit?  (look at the Exit pages report)
  • What is the effect on conversion rate when low satisfaction is reported?  (look at  a Conversion Funnel report)

…and of course by answering these questions you can better inform your plans to optimize your site and improve conversion.
