As the holiday approaches, are you looking forward to some family feasts, merry-making, and good cheer?  If you are a retailer, these might be the subjects of distant memories only.  More often than not, holidays mean rushing projects, headaches, long days, and sleepless nights.  The good news is, it doesn’t have to be that...

It’s not just a great 80’s song from a great 80’s band with great 80’s hair. We use lists for all sorts of things on a day-to-day basis. Birthday Lists. To-do Lists. Grocery Lists. Even Jolly Ole St. Nick makes his list and checks it twice. Is it any wonder that we do the...

15 for 15: Processing Rules and Context Data Variables

My sister had an experience while raising her three-year-old son that has given me some perspective. She was trying to explain the importance of rules in the household and said, “These are the rules!Do you understand the rules?”My nephew looked back at her with a sideways glance and said, “Rules?I like Cinnamon Rules!”

One of the cool out-of-the-box features of Adobe’s SiteCatalyst is the ability to track how visitors are finding your site. There are numerous methods by which visitors might come to your site. Some know your site’s domain or have your site bookmarked. Some come to your site via links from other sites. One...

As indicated in my previous retail blog post, there are a number of differences between retail websites and other websites. Technology adoption is one area that is especially poignant. Consider the exhibit on the right.
