This post is part of a series on setting up and using the Marketing Channel reports. In the previous posts we set up the Marketing Channel rules and renamed the “Internal” rule to “Session Refresh”. The main reason we rename the rule is to lessen confusion between “Internal Campaigns” and “Internal Entries” in...

The Marketing Channels report in SiteCatalyst is one of my favorite features. The report shows you where 100% of your traffic to the site is coming from and you can compare channel success side by side (even organic vs. paid channels!). This series has featured posts on setting the Channel Names, Paid and...

One of my favorite features of SiteCatalyst is the Marketing Channels report. The Marketing Channels report is configured in the Admin console and will automatically bucket campaigns and external traffic sources into a channel based traffic and conversion report. A 12 part blog post series will document how to set up the Marketing Channels reports,...

Does my Mobile App cannibalize my Desktop Traffic?

This is one of the big questions that mobile marketers think about with cross platform analysis. Most of the time we assume that the mobile channel is taking visitors away from the desktop channel. A robust solution using Adobe Insight can marry data across platforms...

Mobile App Cohort Analysis

Cohort Analysis is one of the hot topics around mobile app analytics and great way for marketers to keep a pulse on customer loyalty and app churn rate. Cohort Analysis is used to look at certain groups of users and following their behavior over time. For example, a new restaurant may want to see if...

In the previous post Cohort Analysis was introduced and we set up Classifications to be able to do analyze App Install Cohorts in SiteCatalyst. This post will continue from that point and focus on using Adobe Report Builder for robust Mobile Cohort Analysis.
