Flash Platform events calendar now available

There are a number of places people in interested in Flash Platform technologies can go to find events that Adobe is sponsoring and/or speaking at. But finding one place for designers and developers to go to find these events hasn’t been easy. Until now.

We’ve pulled together a Google calendar of Flash Platform events for everyone to use. We hope you like it.

Feel free to subscribe to the calendar, or embed it on your blog, user group site, or anywhere you think others may be interested. To do so, you can go to the calendar’s settings, and copy and paste the calendar’s html embed code.

You can also subscribe in a number of ways including:
- via XML
-via iCal

We’ll be adding and updating events all the time. Note that we may not be able to list every single event that covers Flash Platform technologies, but we’ll certainly try to. Our basic guidelines are that Adobe needs to be sponsoring the event or someone who is an Adobe staffer needs to be speaking. And the emphasis is on Flash Platform technologies.

Enjoy. If you have any feedback, suggestions, etc, please comment away…

  1. Thanks Marc. We’re still pulling this together and wanted to get it out there sooner rather than later. As we nail down details for flashforum, we’ll add it to the calendar.

  2. you also forgot to mention Zürich: Adobe Cracks @ Publicis – Friday, September 18 2009 from 11am to 6pm at Theater Stadelhofen. its a part of the Adobe Masters Tour 2009 throughout Germany.

  3. The way that I work, I don’t like to have to constantly keep an eye on the calendar screen to see what’s coming up. I just want the calendar to interrupt me, even if I’m in excel or a music site. I also don’t use a clock, so I rely very heavily on alerts. How To Lose Weight Fast

  4. Flash does make the world go round; including beach balls of death, and little wait circles… ;)

    J/k

It was and still is a great solution to creating and displaying dynamic content for the web. However, to think that it’s the best in all situations is maybe a little presumptuous. If YouTube HTML 5 is any indicator of what we have to look forward to in regard to a post-flash dominated world, I’m a bit excited. However, nothing quite works like Flash video on sites that don’t have massive streaming servers set up.

    My .02 cents.

  16. I am still looking for a solution to implement a similar events calender for my Browsergames site. Does anyone know, if there is open access to this flash calender script or how it is done? Maybe someone got a nice tutorial on this – I appreciate every help :)
