Closing the Dreamweaver PreRelease survey!

Hello all -

So great to hear from everyone. We received dozens of responses. Some of you will be receiving emails in the next couple days inviting you to join the Pre Release. If you don’t hear from us, or you were late to the party, and you still want to join the Pre Release team, send an email to dw.prerelease2012@adobe.com and tell us why you want to be there! It’s a lively group – we’re looking for folks who are ok with speaking up when they see problems with the things we do!

Restore custom shortcuts in 12.1 CCM update

With Dreamweaver 12.1 CCM release, there were issues reported related to custom user configuration getting lost. One of the item identified was “Custom keyboard shortcuts” being lost on applying the update. The real reason of this issue is quite simple in nature which can be resolved in quick 4 steps. Please follow the below steps and you should have your customized shortcuts set working in no time.

  1. Open Keyboard shortcuts dialog (from Edit in Win and Dreamweaver in Mac menu)
  2. In “Current Set” drop down, simply select one other set
  3. Select your custom shortcuts set again
  4. Click on OK button in Keyboard shortcuts dialog

The reality is that Dreamweaver was not able to load the customized shortcut set after applying the update. Default set was being loaded leading to the illusion of lost shortcut set.

Note: We realize how big impact items like customization can have on your productivity. For the next subscription update of Adobe Dreamweaver, we will ensure customized configurations are preserved.
