A transferência destes arquivos do computador para o IPad, tem que ser via ITunes? Não é automática com o ID da Adobe?

Why can’t I download ADE on my android?

  4. Sandy S says:

I installed this ap to read a book I borrowed from the library. I finally got the book transferred into the ap (I still don’t know how everything works with iTunes). Now that it’s there I can’t see the thumbnail pic (I tranfered it) and the book will not open. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Can’t wait

  8. Dean says:

It would be nice if ADE on iPad works as it does on computer.
    Internal links are not working.

  9. Karen says:

I have purchased a book for uni and am unable to see it on ADE. I have got the app and logged in to the same ADE account as on my computer but none of my purchased books are coming up. The only thing in the library of my iPad is the getting started with ADE book. Very frustrating!!

    • Michael Dominic says:

If you are looking for auto sync of the book in ADE Library, then this feature is not available on current version. You have to open the downloaded ACSM file manually to fulfill the books.

      • Ms B says:

I don’t know computers too well. Can you please explain more about opening the downloaded ACSM file manually? I gather this means the ebook must be transferred to your iPad from your computer manually. I cannot manage to do this. When I plug my iPad into my PC and open ADE, it does not show the device on the left as I have seen Adobe advising it will happen on their help page. Can you load ebooks into ADE from iTunes or not… please help. It is SO frustrating to buy an ebook and not manage to access it from more than one device!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have authorised my account on all devices already.

        • Michael Dominic says:

Mail the ACSM as attachment and open in the attached ACSM in the iPAD.

          • Claire says:

Michael could you explain the “mail ACSM as an attachment please I am very lost I thought I could just download the app on my iPad and presto lol . But nope so how do I get my books from my computer version to my iPad version? If you could explain that would be awesome thank you

      • Al Zomez says:

The auto sync does not seem to work still. Why would Adobe produce a software that can not sync across devices? Will it ever do? Thanks.

    • Solitude says:

I had the same problem and it turned out my ID on my iPad was different to the one I registered the desktop ADE version with. I changed to the same one and the book automatically downloaded itself. Hope this helps.

  10. Michele says:

How do I delete the “getting started with adobe digital editions'” in ADE 2.0 on my ipad?

  11. maic says:

    Hi,
I also downloaded a book on my computer and authorised my computer as well as my ipad. Nevertheless after 2 hours searching for a way to read in on the ipad I did not succeed. Never had such a sh*tt* application. Waste of money for the book I purchase. Not usable!

    • Michael Dominic says:

With new version of ADE 4.5 “Seamless fulfillment of books across devices”, when a consumer fulfills a book on one device, the book will be automatically downloaded to all the other devices that belong to this consumer (activated using the same user ID).

Or mail the ACSM as attachment and open in the attached ACSM in the iPad.

  12. Laura says:

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to transfer the library ebook I borrowed to my ipad. I have ADE installed on both my macbook pro and my ipad. The library book shows up on my macbook, but not my ipad. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

      • Ronda says:

This does not happen. When I fulfill the book on my Mac, it does not show in ADE 4.5.1 on my iPad. When I mail the ACSM file as an attachment, it shows up as text in the email. There is nothing to click to open the attached ACSM.

        • Ronda says:

I tried it one more time to email it by forwarding it on my computer, where it was showing as a clickable attachment. The second time it worked.

The Seamless fulfillment by automatic download does not work for me though.

Thanks. I’m glad this finally worked. The company giving instructions on how to download their book gave unworkable instructions.

  13. Lourina Botha says:

    Hi Michael
How do I load the ACSM file onto my iPad so that I can open it from there to manually fulfil the books?

  14. Sue says:

How do I view my book in double page layout?

  15. james dunn says:

Downloaded ADE app for iPad, works fine if a bit primitive. what I want to know is how do I return a read book to source so I can borrow another ? Open library says that I can do that do that. But I can’t see any way to do it. If I can’t do so there is absolutely no point in having ADE because there are many better readers than this.

  16. james dunn says:

not a very good reader, there seems to be no mechanism to return books only delete. Pointless.

  17. The iPad version of this product does not work as advertised:
    1. Following the instructions for authorising the iPad, connecting it to the PC and starting the PC (running ADE 4.5) does not display the iPad as a device under the Library.
    2. When transferring a book (The Oxford Dictionary of English Grammar) to the iPad using Dropbox and opening the file: displays each page twice.
    3. Transferring the same book, above, and opening in BlueReader works fine – except you can’t do useful things like highlight text – which means the ADE iPad version is not reading the file correctly.)

I have used ADE on my PC for years. Today I spent several hours tidying up my books, installing new ones, and so on, all so I could take my books with me on my iPad … for no useful outcome on the iPad. Why is so hard in 2015/16 to get software that works as advertised?

  18. … update: FINALLY found how it to highlight text in Bluefire reader. Tap and hold, then drag. Generally feature poor compared to many other readers, but it certainly works better than ADE iPad.

  19. Carmen says:

Un vero disastro ADE. Ho acquistato un libro digitale e mi scaricano Ade. Impossibile leggere il libro con l’applicazione ade: le pagine si bloccano di continuo , e non risponde a nessuna funziona.
it’s impossible to read a digital book with Ade,

  20. Nor says:

Being a web developer I have the following issue:
    (1) Webview of a download shop on Ipad
    (2) Starting the download of Adobe DRM protected contents
    (3) What is the coded instruction to be used in order to trigger ADE to open and download the file? For bluefire Reader it is bluefirereader:// but I have not found anything which would do the same for Adobe Digital Editions…

  21. Keishon says:

This is a great app and a great start, I just wish it wasn’t so buggy. It used to be able to download automatically when I downloaded to my computer but all I get now are ACSM files in the process of downloading and then I have to delete them and start all over. I don’t under why I have TWO thumbnails for the same ebook but if you delete one the other one says “book not available.” EPUB 3 says it supports this but the font for these books are so tiny that the font size doesn’t help at all. Are you all going to compete with the other apps by adding more features in future updates? I wish you would. I’ve stuck by using this app despite the problems it gives me. Thanks for listening.

  22. Dileep says:

How can I fix drop cap in ADE as well as iPad for same view?

  23. Yee Sern says:

ADE hangs frequently when navigating through pages filled with equations and figures. At times, it cost too long to wait for ADE to respond and I had to restart my iPad mini.

  24. Rosie says:

Can I download the files that I have on ADE on my MacBook to an USB?

  25. Rachel Atkinson says:

I have some older version of epub that I copied from an old PC and do not have the ACSM files for. I can add them to my library on the PC, but how can I transfer them to my iPad as well?

  26. Monica Knuppe says:

I cannot get the font to increase in size. I went to the bottom of screen, and the change in light works, but the font size does not change the font

  27. Leslie Grauer says:

Tried a few times to download to my ipad 1 and was told I hadn’t gone to the itunes store, so registered there and was told to go to apple support who told me that I probably hadn’t signed in, but I signed in once with the app store and again with the itunes store (what the itunes store has to do with a reading app is beyond me), and went around that circle 3 or 4 times before I gave up
