conv blog 3 2Microsoft Convergence culminates on day 3 with FUN! FUN! And more FUN!

The Adobe EchoSign team finished strong at #CONV14. We had so many solid conversations about the benefits of e-signatures and the real use cases around digital document and contract management. Attendees were eager to learn about recent strides in the category (legality, compliance, international adoption), as well as the steps for adoption among their own customers. Three days full of insightful tips of the trade and  one-on-one demos of what Adobe EchoSign brings to the table? Sounds FUN to us!

Speaking of FUN, the closing day and show, featuring @OurNameisFUN, was truly #FUNtastic. The Adobe EchoSign team, among thousands of others, rocked out to an interactive and beat-thumping set list from the band! What a great way to wrap a week of Microsoft Convergence! A few highlights we can’t forget:

1)    Adobe EchoSign announced new plug-and-play integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM that accelerates the quote to cash process and all without leaving your CRM. Learn more here!conv blog 3 4

2)    People traveled from as far as New Zealand to learn about EchoSign at #CONV14! During our session on Wednesday March 5, “Closing Deals Faster in the Cloud: Changing the game for your company, customers and partners,” we did a quick intro and learned of the eagerness of several customers from outside of North America to adopt e-signatures and roll the service out to their customers. The live demo by the EchoSign product team using the new plug-and-play integration solution showed them how easy that can actually be!

Adobe EchoSign at Microsoft Dynamics Convergence 2014 in Atlanta – Day 2 recap

The notion that Microsoft Convergence is “where opportunity and innovation meet” held very true for the Adobe EchoSign team on Day 2! In addition to attending several customer-success driven sessions, we also hosted our own at #CONV14. day2 blog

Your customers are on the web and mobile, putting pressure on you and your own business to move faster and become more nimble. But, when a contract needs to get signed (print, sign, scan, fax, overnight, sign, fax, overnight back?), all of your work and timely efforts can come to a grinding halt! This is why our Adobe EchoSign product and sales specialists came together to open the dialogue on how cloud-based contracting with e-signatures is a game changer for anyone’s business, impacting the turnaround time for quote to cash process. The session also covered the opportunities that arise when customers (and their customers) adopt e-signatures including: saved resources, time, money and the additional ability to monitor and track (in real time) the visibility of the entire contract or sales process tied to EchoSign contracts or documents deployed  from within your own Microsoft Dynamics CRM thanks to the EchoSign integration. Our plug-and-play solution seamlessly integrates to allow any CRM user to use EchoSign functionality and audit reporting, starting with one click, while never leaving your system.

day 2 blog 2The collaborative session from product and sales benefited the session attendees as they were provided live demos of the EchoSign integration, in which a real business scenario was established and the room of attendees were taken through the creation, deployment and tracking of a contract through Microsoft Dynamics CRM. As questions peppered the presenters, the team was able to provide solid insights on usage, legal compliance of e-signatures, case uses from each industry represented in the room and more details on the current promotion: a 20% discount that runs now through June 30, 2014. The presenters also discussed the power of who has EchoSign’s back! For example, backed by Adobe, the trusted provider across a broad portfolio of document exchange solutions, EchoSign has already experienced tremendous adoption running parallel with the e-signature category potential growth of 10-15% penetration in North America alone.

Out on the #CONV14 floor, the Adobe EchoSign team provided hundreds of live demos to showcase the new integration solutions. The social team was buzzing around and creating online discussions around the trending topics coming out of #CONV14.

Adobe EchoSign Adds eSignature to President Obama’s ConnectED Initiative

ConnectEdPicture1By Jon Perera, Vice President of Adobe EchoSign

Today I had the honor of visiting the White House with some Adobe colleagues for the first ever White House Student Film Festival. In addition to screening more than a dozen short films about the role of technology in education, President Obama gave a progress report on his ConnectED initiative, which is focused on raising technology standards for 99 percent of American students within the next five years.

I’m so proud of Adobe’s role in today’s announcement at the White House. All told, we are committing more than $300 million worth of software to ConnectED. This commitment is among the largest from the private sector to date, and it includes Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for creative projects; Presenter and Captivate to amplify e-Learning; and EchoSign electronic signature software to help improve administrative processes across 15,000 U.S. schools!

Many K-12 school districts across the United States are already using Adobe EchoSign today, but a huge amount of school administrative work is still done on paper. Through this effort Adobe hopes to:

•Help schools save money. We know that the cost of paper-centric workflows is very high. Document filing costs are $20 per document. Based on conservative estimates, we can potentially help schools save $250M over the next five years.

•Help digitize the administration of our schools. The days of paper, fax machines, and printing in our schools are over – with Adobe EchoSign, K-12 schools can take a comprehensive look at how the business of school administration is done, and how digital solutions can help enable a more modern approach.

•Help schools make a positive impact on the environment. Over the course of the next five years, our contribution of EchoSign to this initiative alone offers the potential of helping schools save 171 million gallons of water and 14M pounds of landfill typically associated with the cost of using paper. See Adobe’s Green Meter here for more information.

We couldn’t be more excited about ConnectED and its potential for raising technology standards in our nation’s schools. I’m thrilled about the role EchoSign will play in helping modernize school processes, and look forward to kicking this off!

‘Tis the Season – enhanced service and updated functionality!

Here at Adobe, we’re always working to find new ways to help you finish business faster, streamline business processes, and increase efficiency. Going paperless with Adobe EchoSign allows your organization to get documents signed anywhere, anytime, on any device securely.

So we’re excited to announce our Winter release that delivers major updates to the EchoSign service to help drive ROI for your organization. In particular this release consists of:

  • Powerful tools to automate the signature process
  • Major advances in the usability of EchoSign, making it even easier to use
  • Significant innovations to the platform with new REST and SOAP capabilities for developers
  • Enhanced integration capabilities with partners like eOriginal, Salesforce.com, Apttus, Conga, and more
  • Deep Zoom capabilities
  • New 7×24 support, chat-support, and community support forums

When you have a document that needs e-signing, setting it up to be sent out via Adobe EchoSign is easy. With our latest release, our customers can now quickly and easily customize documents to align to business workflows before sending them for signatures. By creating customized templates for form fields that include field locations, field properties and field validations the process of sending documents for signature is simple. These field templates can be applied when sending a document through the EchoSign Web UI, the APIs, or from CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, etc. Fields can now be easily added to documents even when the documents get generated from third parties.

We heard your feedback and are improving the signing experience by providing clickable hyperlinks within documents. This not only allows signers to access external locations but also allows navigation within a single document through a table of contents. Additional new capabilities include support for multi-line text fields and resizable signature and initial fields within documents.

We have also significantly improved the readability of documents and the performance for our customers by leveraging the industry-leading document imaging capabilities available through the Adobe document processing technology. Additionally signers and senders also now have the option to zoom in or out on documents for better readability.

We are also announcing true integration with eOriginal to support use-cases where customers want their documents to be vaulted. “Many companies have electronically signed contracts that may have transferrable financial value whether for securitization, collateralization or general transfer of ownership. eOriginal is dedicated to full lifecycle support for our customers and now offers complete electronic transaction management with the seamless integration between our two platforms” stated Ralph Burns, Chief Revenue Officer of eOriginal. “We are excited to work with Adobe EchoSign to bring this capability to customers.”

Last, but not least, Adobe EchoSign is committed to offering thorough, helpful and reliable customer service. Improvements made to our customer support process include the presence of 24/7 assistance from our support team. Yep, any time of the day, any question – the new chat support feature and a new customer forum have been added to the website so customers can get their problems solved and the answer they need quickly and without hassle.

We’re excited about these improvements to the easiest e-Signature platform used for transacting millions of documents every month by companies such as Groupon, Time Warner Cable, British Telecom, Kia, Tivo, NEC Financial Services. We want to thank you for all your feedback. We are starting to work on the next set of exciting new updates to the service. Let us know how you like the new capability and if you have ideas or suggestion please submit them here.

From all of us at Adobe, we wish you and your families Happy Holidays and a Very Happy New Year!

Takeout and Delivery Orders Made Faster with JUST EAT

By automating its contract and document signing process, JUST EAT has doubled the speed with which it connects new delivery restaurants with hungry web surfers. Using Adobe EchoSign for Salesforce, contract completion has been cut from six days to three days with e-signatures. And new customers are on a JUST EAT website the next day.

Using the dashboard tool in Salesforce, JUST EAT was able to monitor adoption and success of the solution, and learned that by streamlining the process they eliminated contract admin time and freed up their sales staff to engage with more restaurants.

“We have integrated Adobe EchoSign with our Salesforce CRM and Conga Merge. With one click, completed contracts are emailed simultaneously to the client, and sales administrators, who can start the process of listing the restaurant before the JUST EAT sales representative even returns to the office,” says Diogo Coutinho, international product manager. “We are exceeding our turnaround time for bringing on new restaurants.”

Processing rental agreements electronically has helped Direct Wonen cut its online contract signing cycle from 1.5 weeks to 1.5 days. By replacing its paper-based solution with Adobe EchoSign, the largest real estate company in the Netherlands can easily process 20,000 contracts yearly.

Besides getting renters into new homes faster, the Adobe solution helps Direct Wonen minimize business risk, save money on document storage, and even provide straightforward integration with the company’s proprietary CRM solution.

“We considered designing our own system to manage and implement electronic signatures, but Adobe EchoSign already had all of the features that we wanted with an API that made integration incredibly easy,” says functional designer Kevin Veenman.

EchoSign Named Must-Have Tool for Small Businesses on Forbes.com

We’re keeping some pretty good company on this list of 20 must-have tools for small businesses on Forbes.com, where EchoSign comes in at no. 2. The writer focuses on the way EchoSign can save dough for small businesses that don’t want to invest in all of the “stuff” required in the traditional signing process:

“Instead of throwing away hundreds of dollars on paper, printer ink, and a scanner, electronic signatures saves you time, money, and work, all while creating an effort to improve our ecosystem.”

Those are big pluses indeed, especially for small organizations that run lean. We’d also like to point out that some of the biggest gains are actually in productivity, which creates value for the business. (And makes workers a lot happier, we might add. Who wants to be a paper pusher?)
