Thought I’d throw a link to the HSC Visual Art submissions of our Yr12 students (aged 17-18) here at Wyndham College, Australia. Sixty four students submitted works for assessment with the Board of Studies along with over 9,000 other Visual Art students across the state. Four were subsequently selected for the states prestigious ArtExpress exhibition. Over 80% of our students submit works that are developed and refined using either Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere or a combination of these. Other media areas in this years group include painting, drawing, print and mixed media.

Great stuff! As a fellow Aussie I can appreciate just how prestigious it is to be accepted into ArtExpress… for those outside Australia it might not mean much but for Aussie kids studying Visual Arts at the HSC level it’s a big deal! Congratulations.

Great to hear that these fab Adobe tools play such an important role in it. I know at our school our VA kids also lean heavily on the use of tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.

Thanks Chris. Far to long a gap between your comment and my reply. Just wanted to say thanks. Due to time constraints I didn’t get to catch up with you at the recent Teachmeet at Everleigh. Had some things to discuss but will have to leave for another time.
      All the best
