Shockwave Player 10.1 installer will no longer include offer for WeatherBug

As of today, Macromedia Shockwave Player will no longer be offering the WeatherBug desktop weather application to users, and the installers have been updated to reflect this change. The Yahoo! Toolbar continues to be offered with the Shockwave Player as part of our partnership with Yahoo!.

Great,One down, one to go!If Shockwave gets a clean installer it would soon be the most popular plugin garanteed since the size is no issue today. The best solution would be a single installer for both Flash and Shockwave! Oh that would have been so great =)

Thanks for listening to the community around you and taking a step back in the right direction.I like having a lean Flash installer, but an optional 2-in-1 Flash/Shockwave download would be nice.

  3. A 2-for-1 installer’s not such a bad idea, for a while there the Shockwave for Director installer bundled Flash 2 and then Flash 3 players in the same package. Not sure when this practice ended, possibly when Flash’s penetration bested Shockwave’s.Thanks Emmy, this is def progress! Now if we can just get the Yahoo! Toolbar install deselected as default so folks may elect to opt-in rather than requiring an opt-out.

Hi Emmy Huang,Do you have Shockwave 10 and Flash Player 8 in one installer? I need it to integrate with my company’s system for users.in MSI version without Yahoo Toolbar! ?Please help.

Hi,We no longer provide combined installers because of the different release cycles of the players. However, the licensed installers for intranet distribution do not make the Yahoo! Toolbar offer since admins often restrict installation rights and deliver software through SMS systems.www.macromedia.com/licensing/distributionbest,Emmy
