We’ve launched a brand new Adobe TV website today which has been built with some of our newest technologies, including our Adobe Open Source Media Framework (aka Strobe), and ColdFusion 9.

    The site has a brand-new look & feel, and many new features including:

  • User-customizable homepage
  • Vastly improved navigation & search
  • Save your favorite episodes to “My Library”
  • Share videos on social networking sites such as Facebook, Digg, and StumbleUpon
  • Subscribe to the RSS feeds of your favorite shows
  • Pop-out video player to view videos at any size
  • Commenting & Rating
  • Tags

    The navigation is MUCH better and overall it’s a great improvement.
    There is one issue I see though – it’s impossible to drag the time line to skip ahead or go back. Any attempt to do so returns me to the beginning of the episode. You’ll also note that the time displayed remains at 00:00 throughout the episode.

    I hate to brak this to you, but nobody f-ing cares!
    Stop trying to do everything and start making great software. Right now Adobe is failing really hard. The consensus is that Adobe is now marketing driven. Many designers are waiting for an alternative.
    Today, you still make money, tomorrow you will not. Why? Someone is going to release software that is good, has REAL features instead of buggy custom UI and integration with Flex/Flash/Bridge and other crap that is not helping us get our work done.
    Then you will be sorry, but then it will be too late. Adobe, the Quark of te 2010s.
    And you know what, you deserve it too.
