Hmmm… fails to install through the software updater and the downloaded installer. There are no reasons for the failed install… it says fix the following issues and nothing shown up. Can’t update on a clean and super secure Windows 7 Fw CS5 install. NICE Adobe!

Yes Fireworks 11.0.1 updater is broken. How hard is it to test an updater…. really!!!

I dont get it, why dont they bite the bullet and upgrade the software to 64bit, why is this such a difficult decision to make. Adobe I’d prefer you take the extra time to ensure all the bugs have been fixed before releasing any software/updates in future.
This update just feels like it was rushed out the door without the required checks and duty of care to ensure it worked properly.
Show you care about your customers Adobe, make the extra effort, add a little more polish to ensure what you deliver is right. DON’T throw the dead cat over the fence and fix the issues……. later.
Also getting double failure through both the software updater and standalone installer.
Tried running Adobe Support Advisor (AIR app) and got not very helpful result:
“Inspection found an issue but cannot determine the cause or corrective action. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance. http://www.adobe.com/support”
All I’ve done recently is update AIR to 2.7 yesterday.
What’s the problem Adobe?
Running OS X 10.6.7 and received the same failure when updating Fireworks. Ensured that “Adobe AIR Extension for Fireworks” version 2.0.7 was installed in the Extension Manager. Still received error when attempting update.
Downloaded patch directly from this link – http://download.macromedia.com/pub/fireworks/updates/cs5/11_0_1_7/Fireworks_11.0.1_All_AdobeUpdate.dmg
Restarted computer then installed the direct download. Update installed successfully.
Why doesn’t it work?
This is not good enough.
Adobe has lost it’s honor.
Please return software to Macromedia immediately.
Had same issue using Adobe Updater but was able to download using the direct link and it installed just fine.

failed to install, failed to install… help me pleasE!!!
Having hard time to install this one can someone tell me why? i have an os windows 7 it seems its not supported.
We have removed the update for Fireworks CS5 after multiple user comments of its failure to install smoothly.
The team is investigating the root cause and should have the update back with hopefully no issues this time.

I saw Fireworks 11.0.2 available in my workplace computer (my home uses CS5.1) in Adobe Updater. It doesn’t matter if 11.0.1 is available now.
I can’t find the 11.0.2 Update at the Adobe Support Page.
Is it now available or not?

Can you please reinstall FWCS5 and then try to update.From the log it looks like previous installation failure has caused some error internally.Please reinstall FWCS5 and try again.

Minor bug. Major enough to go back to 5.0. Slowing workflow.
Anybody see this on MAC:
Opened files do not maintain their file names.
Instead they get Untitled.png
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Or is it me?
I tried uninstalling, re-installing, safe-boot. permissions repair….
