Sessions and Labs that may interest a Fireworks user at Adobe MAX 2008

There are a lot of sessions at MAX that may overwhelm you when deciding which ones to attend. Below is a list of sessions revolving around Fireworks except Jeffery Alqhuist's Flash session. I encourage you to attend Jeff's session as he played a big role in Fireworks engineering in the past. Give him a nudge and say "I know who you really are Jeff give us the skinny on Fireworks". :) Nah in all seriousness if you use Fireworks you are probably also working in Flash too which is why I'm pointing his session out. He's a great guy and mentor at heart!

Adobe Fireworks CS4: 100 Essential Techniques!, go get it!

Jim Babbage authored the Adobe Fireworks CS4, How-To Book (Part of the How-Tos series). This is really fantastic for educational and learning resources! Typically in the past Fireworks users have found tips and tutorials online since they are mostly web centric users.

Book Description:
Adobe Fireworks CS4 is back and better than ever. Completely revamped for inclusion in the Adobe Creative Suite, Fireworks is now positioned to be an integral part of Adobe's Web workflow. Designed for manipulating images destined for the Web and developing rapid Web prototypes, Fireworks lets Web designers go from scribbled concept to online framework. Fireworks CS4 has been given new life, so new in fact that a whole new generation of Web designers needs to become acquainted with it. Adobe Fireworks CS4 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques gives users quick access to the key features and fundamental techniques to help them come up to speed in Adobe Fireworks CS4. Each technique is presented in a self-contained unit of one or two pages so users can dive in and start working right away, unencumbered by lengthy descriptions or technical detail. Adobe Fireworks CS4 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques will be one of the first books available on this software.

iPhone GUI as Adobe Fireworks Rich Symbols Library

Just noticed jorge.hipster, bomberstudios, kekoponte have uploaded a beta set of user interface components for iPhone that will help designers quickly mockup functional prototypes to show their clients in Fireworks. Good news is you dont have to re-create these assets! They added a lot of properties to the Rich Symbols so you dont have too! One up for the community helping the community!

Fireworks

http://help.adobe.com/ja_JP/Fireworks/9.0/help.html?content=frw_styles_st_09.html
Flash

http://help.adobe.com/ja_JP/Fireworks/9.0/help.html?content=frw_styles_st_13.html
