Adobe AIR Launches on Android Market
Today is the day that many of us have been waiting for for a long time. Last night the Adobe AIR runtime officially released on the Android Marketplace. Developers can distribute and sell their AIR applications to the millions of Android users worldwide. No amount of words can express how exciting this is. So what do you have to do to get started?
A while back I created a couple of video tutorials on using the AIR for Android pre-release tools. You will still need to do that for now so go and check those out if you haven’t done so already. Today I launched a new tutorial showing how you actually publish your applications to the Android Marketplace. Go on over and check out that one as it only took me 6 minutes to do it, and that included building the app.
Many have wondered what the process is like when you download an AIR application but don’t have the runtime installed. I just recorded a quick video showing what the experience is. Pretty darn smooth in my opinion.
