Shutterfly recently released a new application called the Express Uploader that makes it very easy for their customers to upload images to a Shutterfly account. Once uploaded, the existing Shutterfly can be used to turn albums into prints, photo books, calendars and more.
The application is powered by Adobe AIR and leverages new capabilities available in our most recent version of the AIR runtime (version 2) including integration with native code using the native process API. Congratulations to the team at Shutterfly on the launch of the desktop application!
Anumber of popular uploading tools are now powered by AIR including the Vimeo uploader that we highlighted in an earlier blog post.
Photos can be queued up for uploading and associated with new or existing albums.
The intuitive, clean design makes uploading a breeze.
To promote the upcoming release of the Alien Anthology on Blu-ray, FOX released an interactive, promotional application powered by Adobe AIR and built by Oskoui+Oskoui.
The application includes a number of features that fans of the Alien franchise are bound to enjoy including an image gallery where you can discover unique photos and concept art from the films, listen to musical tracks from the soundtrack, watch video clips including trailers and customize the "wallpaper" within the application.
Congratulations to the team at Oskoui+Oskoui for building another engaging application that Alien fans around the world are sure to enjoy! Earlier this year, the team also built the Avatar Interactive Desktop to promote the launch of Avatar on Blu-ray & DVD.
