Sorry to ask this question here but i couldn't find a better place to do so, is it possible to compile AS2 using the command line compiler for flex? And use the embbed tag?
Btw, that's great news that the book is out soon i'll be getting one myself for sure! :)

The Flex 2/Flex 3 SDKs don't do AS2 compilation, they are only used with AS3. You can look at some other open source projects available on http://osflash.org for AS2 compilation if you'd like.
