My main interests would mainly be in fixing bugs and improving existing components, although I would happily contribute custom code and components as well.

I think there should be a site that documents the process for checking-out, modifying and committing code for review. Bear in mind that a lot of Flash/Flex developers don't come from traditional development backgrounds and might not have this kind of knowledge.

Also, while I agree with 95% of what is specified in this document:

I believe this should be open to community review. Particularly due to the fact that a lot of the current API does not implement it consistently.
