Exploding Planets courtesy of Video Copilot

Over the past couple of months and in the spirit of my blogging mission (i.e - easy!) I've posted a couple of topics on "strange planets": showing how easy it is to make a planet and put it in space. Yesterday, I learned of another terrific free tutorial that is simply terrific, albeit more destructive - an exploding planet!

Andrew Kramer is definitely on my short list of super talented guys that I wish I could be.  What's really cool is that he has no problem sharing his talent and he recently did a short tutorial on building an exploding planet, effectively heading off what I would have done in a while anyway.  (darn you Andrew!) ;-)

So, head on over to Video Copilot and watch this 13 minute tuturial that gives a good overview of the Shatter plugin.
