All the best of Photoshop and Premiere for home users

Today Adobe announced all new versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements.  It’s all the power of their big brothers but without all of the detail.  It’s all about the results and getting them quickly.

I can’t say that I’ve played with them yet, but there are a few things worth noting.

  • Photoshop Elements is now offering services through subscription.  More and more people want to share photos, back them up, and get new templates and content.  That’s what some of the photoshop services are all about.
  • Premiere Elements also gets some of the new services and in addition adds something that Genesis Project readers will write to me about – AVC HD

So, if you’re interested in learning more about either product, you can get to the main page right here – Premiere and Photoshop Elements

I am so glad to finally see in the data sheet mention of AVCHD. While I’m sure no word will be released until CS4 gets trotted out at the end of this month, I can only hope that this foreshadows something that PPro users with budget HD cams have been dying for since CS3 was released.
