Any progress on the certification of the GeForce GTX 480? Right now the pricey video cards are the only thing holding me back from the upgrade to CS5. Thanks in advance for your comments!

[DR - We're still working on it, but I am saying to customers that either the GTX 480 or 470 (or both) will be certified in the future. These are good cards to get, but until we're official with them, you purchase at your own risk.]

Please Adobe - Fermi support is WAY overdue. This is getting to be pathetic. It's been weeks since CS5 was released, but you had the Fermi cards in house a long time before that. How much longer do we have to wait??

Dennis,
There is one more item you can add to your list: 16:9 with 4:3 center cut.
As a TV Producer, I work in the Creative Services Department of a South Florida TV station. I produce/direct commercials for our station's clients.
In this transition from analog to digital, not all viewers have widescreen televisions, many still have their old 4:3 sets.
Our commercials are produced in 1080HD, but the graphics are confined to a 4:3 center cut so that both types of viewers get all of our client's information.

Best,
James Wicks

Dennis,
Do you yet know if the new Fermi Nvidia cards (GTX 480) will be supported for CS 5 Mercury playback?

Thanks, Barry

[DR - Officially, no I don't know. Unofficially, I think we'll see some kind of support later this year. Again, the hold up is that we want to get cards thoroughly tested and optimized. BTW - you have a great website.]
